Patriotic favors with Little Yellow Bicycle.. and a bean in my belly!

Heeeeeey! How goes it? Did you have a fabulous weekend? I was pretty busy this past week. My mom and kid brother were up (I’ve actually had my brother here for two weeks..) so I was busy trying to entertain them… Lots of singing and dancing going on over here.. lol.. and with everyone here I began realizing we need a bigger house! It gets kinda crowded with 3 kids, a hubby, a grandma, a 14yo brother.. and a pregnant chick. No room for anymore visitors! Not to mention of animals. I need SPACE!

And yeah… you read that right! Pregnant chick.. ME! Holy crud, peeps… I am preggers! Baby #4 is on the way! While I have been in a near pregnancy induced coma, I managed to get some projects done. Anyone who has been pregnant knows how exhausting it is at first. I just want to nap and eat ice and cheese, lol. Now of course I am getting busy with CHA work. It’s gonna be a crazy crafty two weeks for me… and then I plan to take a week long nap. HA! Suuuure. Three kids home for summer? Not happening.

I know.. three kids.. I already complain about having to craft late at night while they are in bed.. oh, hey.. here’s an idea! Let’s have another! lol. I honestly can’t wait to have a wittle cute baby again!

Really though, we are completely excited! All my kids are two years apart.. this one will be 6 years apart from my youngest. Some friends have said, “I can’t believe you want to start all over again”.. puh-lease! I just saw that baby swings now come with plug in adapters! (some of them) That alone is enough to get pregnant, lol. My hubby and I use to always say the baby swing companies must have had some deals with the battery companies because we could never find a ‘plug in’ swing.

So that’s my exciting news of the week! I am hoping when this baby is born to do a ‘Project Life’ type album for the baby’s first year.. I already know I will fail at this, lol.

Alrighty. Moving on to some patriotic favor boxes I made for Little Yellow Bicycle. I used the new Vintage Summer collection.. which is amazing! I think this is my favorite recent LYB collection. I like that you can go patriotic with red, white, and blue.. but not so ‘in your face’ patriotic craziness with fireworks, tons of stars, flags, etc.

So here’s my first favor box, a star shaped box made from the SVG Cuts Stars and Stripes SVG Kit.

I love the chipboard pieces in this collection.. those ‘milk caps’ are fabulous!

And of course ya gotta have the stick pins!

Next up was this square box with star cut outs I found in the Silhouette store. Really simple and easy to assemble.

I always love the paper crafting kits LYB makes… I am a big fan of rosettes!

And whoa.. the 4th of July is almost here! Kinda crazy how fast this year seems to be going by.. I mean.. didn’t we just have Christmas? Better hurry and get our pool up! Before I know it fall will be here.. which excites me! I LOVE the fall.. I am ready to pull out all my pumpkins again!

OK, I will see ya later! Thanks for stopping by!

I’m one ‘HAPPY CAMPER’….

Ah. Summ-ah tiiiiiiime! I am all too excited for some outdoorsy adventures that are coming up! We found an amazing camp ground about 20 minutes away from my house.. We are already planning our first trip up there soon to do some hiking, have lunch, etc. And if I get brave enough.. pitch a tent and stay the night, but.. I am deathly scared of anything wanting to eat me.. and I gotta say, I look pretty tasty. All this white meat aged for 30 years (does that make me more of a ‘jerky?’).. LOL! Bears, mountain lions.. GAH. Life was so much easier when I was a child and would go camping and not even sleep in a tent.. Pssssh.. Give me a sleeping bag and a 3pk of Twinkies and I was SET… yes, Twinkies. I ALWAYS had to have Twinkies when we went camping, lol. But now I am a mom… and as a mom I realize that the world is a scary place with icky creatures lurking around. Maybe I watch too much Animal Planet… I dunno. But I definitely need to warm up to the idea of sleeping in a tent with my babies….. Trying to coax my hubby into buying an RV is not working too well right now… not even with freshly baked cookies. He’s a tough one, that hubby of mine.

What about you all?… are you brave enough to sleep under the stars.. in a tent?… Or send the family off to camp while you go to a spa vacation? lol.

Even if you’re not an outdoorsy type, something tells me you will still want to get your hands on this fantastic new collection from Echo Park, Happy Camper. The colors and patterns and very cool.. And the element stickers?! Umm, hello cute fox!.. The deer?.. i.die. SO CUTE.. even the bear has a little place in my heart. If only all bears were made of paper and just 1.5″ tall.

Seeing the preview of this collection I knew right away I was going to make this tee-pee from SVG Cuts’ Camp Smore kit!  It came out totally cute with the Happy Camper collection! I made a little ‘scene’ for it.. and now it’s the timeline banner for Echo Park’s Facebook page!

Here it is.. I hope you brought goodies for s’mores.. if not. I will leave you for the bears.

I thought to make a little fire, etc, but that was just getting too crazy. But if YOU are the crazy crafter type, have at it! Add a camper, fire.. a live skunk, etc… Maybe a 3pk of Twinkies.. ha!

The tee-pee is actually a little gift box! I am just a bone head and didn’t take a photo of it with the top off, but you can see it HERE on the SVG Cuts website.

There’s that fox!… After my Twinkies I’m sure!

OK, friends! I’m off! I have a lot of blog posts I am behind on that I need to get up.. hoping SOON. I’ve been very quiet and busy. I am in the middle of a custody case right now and it’s taking it’s toll on me… the most mentally exhausting and emotional thing I’ve been through, really. I’m not going to spill my details all over my blog though…  It’s almost over with so hopefully I will quickly jump back into my happy crafty self soon.

Take it easy!

Echo Park Happy Go Lucky – Photo Freedom Pages

Whoa. It’s been awhile, huh?

I’ve been busy with life so I haven’t been crafting much at all. But I am back at it now and will have a couple blog posts this week.. starting with this one!

I used the Echo Park Happy Go Lucky Photo Freedom kit for these two pages. I kept this clean and simple and just focused on the pictures. I mean, the whole concept with this style of ‘scrapbooking’ is to be quick and easy, right?… So here’s some quick and easy for ya!

We had a nice little day taking some photos of her in the dress I made.. and as you see, I had to make her American Girl doll one as well.

The butterfly wings pop up for some dimension. Really cute cuts.. I found them in the Silhouette store.

Here’s page #2. My favorite part is how I split the balloons sticker betwen two pockets.

And yes.. I will admit she looks kinda scary in the bottom right photo, lol.. But that was her.. gummy wide grin, lol. Grimlin style.

This page has hidden journaliing. I was done with the page and was like, “Crap! I didn’t add any journaling..” lol. So ‘hidden’ worked well for this.

Isn’ this PF theme beautiful though? I LOVE it. I think it’s my favorite PF theme so far.

And while you’re here I thought I’d share what’s coming to me VERY soon.. which means you’ll soon be able to get the, too.. Look at this yumminess.

There’s HAPPY CAMPER. I have project ideas spewing outta my brain with this one.. CAN’T WAIT!

There’s also the FANTASTIC HERE & NOW. OMG, peeps.. this is GORGEOUS!!! Can not WAIT to work with this. I am gonna use the crazy outta this!

The colors.. I mean REALLY.

Anyhow, I am looking forward to my DT box (when aren’t I?) and creating some projects to inspire you all (hopefully?..). Which of these two if YOUR favorite?

Alrighty, friends.. off ya go. See you again soon.. Sorry to be MIA for a bit. I have a few more goodies to share so check back!

OH!.. hold up!.. Who uses BLOG LOVIN’ to follow your favorite blogs? Please follow ME!  Follow my blog with Bloglovin

OK.. I will allow you to depart from my blog now *smiles*

It’s a booooat!

Ahoy, crafty friends! Anyone out there enjoying the lovely weather? I have seen some photos of people with snow, so.. don’t start throwing snowballs at me if you’re one of the snowy places, but we’ve been having picture perfect spring weather here! I am loving it! Time for a spray tan so I don’t hurt peoples eyes with the pasty whiteness that grows below my waistline that I call ‘legs’.

Anyhow, the Echo Park team has been working on projects with the new ‘A Perfect Summer’ collection designed by Lori Whitlock.. and it is FAB! Totally gets me in the summertime mood… and craving a margarita. Mmm. I just finished up this totally awesome boat gift box.. This is made with the latest SVG Cuts kit! You can get this set FREE with the code FREEGIFT with your purchase of $9.98 or more! CHECK IT OUT and make your own boat!

So, slap on some sunscreen and a life vest (you’ll need it if I’m captain! lol) and come along on a little boat ride… it’s a row boat..  no fancy speed boats over here, lol.

I want at least 20 of those beach ball brads. SO CUTE!

Anchors are everywhere right now.. and as most things I talk about.. I’m loving them! I need one for my bathroom!…. and for that body I have in the closet.

I meant like.. a faux anchor tattoo or something…

This project will sit happily in my craft room to be admired by all who enter it… *back pats*.

OK, I have a child to go pick up from the bus stop.. but before I go, another back pat for me because I’m featured at Two Peas today! I am always shocked and surprised when this happens. I see my projects up there and I’m all like, “Who dis crazy cat that copied me.. oh, hell naw!”.. then I realize it’s MINE!

Pretty cool, I also just saw it in their newsletter… coolness to the max, baby!

Go on.. get in line for autographs. Bring your own Sharpie.

OK, see ya’s later!

Well, well.. look who it is.. I’ve been expecting you! Yes, really!! Did you bring me coffee? You DID?! Awesome.

Here we are, another round of a fabulous design team blog hop with the Carta Bella girls! I hope you’ve been inspired and have loved the projects you’ve seen so far!

Today I have a vacation photo box to share. This was super quick and fun to create. I used the AMAZING ‘Well Traveled’ collection for this. This collection has got to be one of the best travel lines I’ve seen! I love the colors and vintage feel to the graphics. To create this I used a Lori Whitlock cutting file which you can find HERE.

Purty darn cool! And totally useful! You can make several ‘themes’ to store extra photos that may not make it to scrapbook albums and such. Perfect!

I am pretty much in love with this camera die cut. I got the shape in the Silhouette store. Added the ‘New York’ sticker with an Epiphany Crafts epoxy over it to create a ‘lens’. Then I added on some tiny brads and gray cord to make a camera strap. Um, yeah. Hello awesome idea! So happy to have met you!  You should come around more often!

*high five* for scrumptious embellies! I am so into brads right now. I think I might just start calling my husband Brad. Yeah. That’ll work.

Did’ja know Carta Bella’s ‘Well Traveled’ collection has WASHI TAPE! I added a little taste of it here and there to my box. Those cool roller stamps (arrows and cameras) are from Glitz Design. Really neat and I am glad I snagged them!

Alrighty, now for my BONUS giveaway. I am giving away a Well Traveled 6×6 paper pad, layered stickers, AND a pack of three washi tapes! I will chose a winner from my blog comments AND Facebook page. The 19th is here.. You know what that means! CHA REVEALS!!!!!

Today is the day I get to share my CHA Echo Park booth projects with you all! Yes, I have been talking about it a lot on my FACEBOOK PAGE and now I can stop yappin’ about it and actually show you all! After I tell you all a little story..

I was contacted on July 6th asking if I would be able to design some projects for Echo Park Paper to show at CHA… I wish you all could have seen my face when I read that email! I was SO stinkin’ excited and could not believe they would contact ME, let alone read my blog.. I mean, who am I?…

I replied back saying I would.. I mean, WHO would turn that down? A crazy person, that’s who! Then, before I heard back about my deadline, I thought to myself, “Gee, isn’t CHA THIS month?”.. Ummm, yeah. *panic begins to set in*…. I was told that they needed my projects by the 14th.. *gulp*… AND they still needed to ship me the paper! *double gulp*…. I told myself, “You’ve got this, Tamara!”… (I really did say that…. Psssh! Don’t try to pretend you don’t talk to yourself!) So, I got a big box of awesomeness on July 8th in the evening and immediately got busy! As soon as I saw the GORGEOUS paper I was inspired to create! In TWO FULL DAYS I got done.. I was pretty amazed! I shipped them all out on July 11th.. which is an AMAZING day for me.. Not only did I get done super fast and knew my projects would arrive in time, but that evening I was asked to be on their in house design team!

Just imagine, if you will, a crazy woman running through the house screaming like a half pig, half duck.. being strangled. Kinda like, “Quuuuuack.. ah-ah-ah-ah *gasp*..snort, ah- *gasp* ah-ahhhh-.. Quuuuack”.. “Snort”…

My husband asked what my problem was.. and you know what?.. If HE thinks I’m having an ‘issue’ then it’s seriously disturbing!

So yeah, I am excited to say the least! It’s a lot different than any other DT I’ve ever been on and I don’t want to get into too many details, but it’s super-doooper! If you want to meet the other SUPER talented design team members, head on over to the BLOG!

And you get something out of it too.. what?.. PAPER KIT GIVEAWAY’S! Yes, I will be giving away some of the newest kits here on my good ol’ blogity-blog here and there! Yeah, buddy! And I get to give one away NOW!! (See below my projects for details!)

OK.. now that I got that outta my system, time for CHA projects and to get down to business!

*breathe in.. breathe out*…. (Seriously, I’m such a child! I feel like such a celebrity right now… LOL! )

So, first off, if you’re not already following Echo Park’s BLOG or ‘like’ their Facebook Page, then you might have missed out on peeks of some bea-U-tiful new lines! I’m talking about Victoria Gardens and Apothecary Emporium! “Hellooo000oo, GORGEOUS!”

Photobucket  Photobucket <~~~~~~ LOVE!

These were two of the three lines I got to work with! I knew right when I saw Apothecary Emporium on Facebook that I wanted to make some test tube type of project with them. I had two tubes laying around and decided to make my own SVG file to hold them (which will be a free download during my Blogiversary Bash) and decorate it with the cool stickers that come in the kit! I will admit, I don’t usually use stickers, just never really thought to. But these were SO fun!

I used a lot of pewter ink from Color Box! A great color for Halloween stuff (So is black, white and silver!)

Those little stickers fit just right on top of the test tubes!

I stuck some of the stickers on cardstock and cut them out. I then distressed and inked the edges. You can do so much with these stickers alone! These would be great with some Reese’s Pieces or black and orange jelly beans in them! The twine shown is from the awesome Trendy Twine! How awesome is that black and orange?! I think it’s a limited edition, so you might want to go snag some while you can! Go like her Facebook page and let her know I sent ya!

Think that’s neat? Well, this is my FAVORITE! I had visions of doing something like this since LAST Halloween when I first started crafting, I just had no idea where to start! I tackled this and LOVE how it came out. I was sad to ship this one off, for sure! I will have to make another one!.. or at least the hat! The hat is a paper mache cone that I got wet and shaped at the top. I dried it and Mod Podged the paper to it!

I hope you like that vintage crinkle ribbon! I will be giving some away for my Blogiversary!

I used Recollections brand glitter and it works just as nicely as the Martha Stewart stuff…

The photo above shows how I added glitter to the wire holding the bats. It looks awesome in person with black and silver glitter on various elements!

I will share tips on how I made this in the next few days! :) It’s a lot of fun!

Next up, is the Victoria Gardens collection. When I first saw this I had so many ideas coming to me and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. Then, I remembered a PDF file I saw awhile back to make a very small carousel.. that was it! I HAD to make a vintage looking paper carousel! The PDF was way too small to make any sort of template from so I created my own files in Sure Cuts a Lot from the basic shapes library and a mix of SVG files and created this…

Can I just say I am dang proud of this beauty!? It’s a GIFT BOX! The top section and bottom section are both boxes. I built this thing as if I was building myself a house! lol.. I was very careful with placement and measurements. The center column is stuffed with packing paper and dowel rods for support. I actually had a lot more flowers and things cut out and realized if I went ‘overboard’ it would have been too much since it was such a large piece as is. Again…. 98% of this was made with the SCAL basic shapes library! I will share more about how I made this in a few days.

Don’t those papers totally MAKE the project?.. That roof was a total pain to make! I had to use some rusty math skills to create it!

And, last but not least! The ‘secret’ paper I got to work with! Happy Days… how fun and cute are these papers?

I decided to go fairly simple with a neat 3D project. Sadly, I didn’t get very many photos of this since I got sidetracked and then ran out of time. When I saw these papers I immediately thought ‘diner’.. So, I made an ‘EAT’ sign with 3D letters!

The dice were a last minute add for that extra something special. You can make a menu and use this to hold it, cool, huh?! Most of this project is made from files at SVG Cuts!

And there you have it! Again, I worked so hard on these! Most of you who read my blog know I love to make 3D projects… and that hat box and carousel really show ‘me’. I don’t usually have time to go all out like I like to.. I hope I got a few of you to say, “WOW!”.. :) I had so much fun working on these! I love starting a project and just going for it! And then to be picked up for Echo Park’s design team after all this! I am truly blessed! This past *almost* first year of paper crafting has been AMAZING for me!

Now, for my giveaway…

Wait, did I mention I am now on ECHO PARK PAPER’S DESIGN TEAM??!!… I did? Oh, well.. in case you forgot or something.. *wink*

Thanks a bunch!

May is here and flowers are in full bloom! This week at Fantabulous Cricut the challenge is Flower Shower! Stop on by the blog for some design team inspiration and to enter the challenge for this weeks giveaway!

I decided to try one of the popular flower pot cards. I like it, but wish I would have done a few things different.. like make the scalloped trim come down a bit more and maybe add some grass, lady, bee, etc.

The stamp sentiment is from My Craft Spot! Works perfect for this!

If you’d like to make one, I used SCAL basic shapes and the Forever Young Cricut cartridge!

In SCAL select the trapezoid shape. Uncheck ‘keep proportions’ and size to 5.00w x 4.276h. Cut two.

The scalloped trim is something I made awhile back by welding circles to a rectangle. The circles were sized to .60w and just weld to any size rectangle that will work!

The rectangle for the insert was cut to 3.00 x 4.00 and attached to a half circle sized 4.00w. This is what the back looks like after adhering them -

The flowers were all random cuts from Forever Young and several layers cut between 3.00″ and 1.00″. You just fold up the edges a bit and layer how you’d like! Very easy! I actually made this card pretty quickly!

You can’t really tell, but I also have some pop dots under the scalloped trim -

Next time, I will cut it a little longer so it shows better!

I think I will give this style card another go and try for more details, it was really fun to make!

I hope you like it!

Cute Wall Decoration – Right at Home Scrapbooking project!

It’s me again!!

Here is a project created for Right at Home Scrapbooking! I worked with some paper from Echo Park’s Playground collection. I love these papers.. I will do another project using them soon, as I have plenty left!

I rarely ever make anything boyish, so I decided to make my son this cute wall/door hanging decoration for his room! If you want all the details you can get them HERE. You will need SCAL or MTC and the SVG Cuts Jonathan’s Bears Collection

Simple and cute, right?! My son loves it! Be sure to swing on over to RAH’s blog for details!! You can take this basic idea and make party signs, etc.!

Anyhow, I have been so busy lately! (crafting, of course) and this is what happens with 4 days straight of paper crafting and me just tossing things to the side to pick up later (ahem.. more like try and ignore it all ’til it get’s outta control! LOL!)

It will have to wait another day.. No time today to clean it. My ‘baby’ is 8.. ack, 8.. EIGHT!!!! Lordy, she is growing so fast! I swear it was JUST her 7th birthday, like.. last month? lol. We’re having a small celebration at home with cake and some presents (I have GOT to share with you this amazing deal I got on her gifts!) then, in May we’re heading to Disneyland for a few days! Whoo-hoo! It will be my sons first time going!

OK, my crafty peeps.. I will talk to you all later! I’ve got a project to work on tomorrow for Fantabulous Cricut! Not quite sure what I am doing yet, but I am really hoping to start on it tonight.

‘With a moo-moo here, and a moo-moo there….’

‘Here a moo.. there a moo… everywhere a moo-moo!’

Lookie here! I created this little barnyard party favor box for SVG Cuts! How cute, right? I really like the way this came out, so much fun! If you want all the details, check out the BLOG POST!

You can take this idea and use it with your own theme! Party, baby shower, sports teams, etc. You really can do so much with these! I bought my little baggies on eBay from THIS SELLER.

Now.. more pictures!

Now throw on yur’ overalls for a knee slappin’ good time and create some party favors! :) I hope you like them and it inspires you!

Thansk for stopping by!

Springy Treats

I made these for my daughter’s class party, as well as FCCB’s Design Team project for Challenge Me Monday! This week is to create something using a chick or a bunny!

I used the adorable animal files from SVG Cuts Cuddly Animals Collection! I love them! I had to make 26 of these so I did edit the bunny’s feet and also stamped the faces on instead! I wanted to add a ribbon with a stamped sentiment, but I ran out of time.

Cute, right? I got my little baggies on eBay by searching ‘M&M candy bags’. It was 100 for like, $6.00! You can fit jelly beans inside them too! Mmm!

The animals are cut to 2.5″ high. I just glued them on with a low temp hot glue gun! Voila’.. Simple treats for the class party!
