Hi Tamara, I love your new site!!
DId you do it all yourself or use a web savy assistant? I live in Santa Clarita an would love to connect to a web savy person to help get my blog flipped over to a proper web site. Just wondered of you had someone you might refer, as I am looking for someone who really gets a look I am after and I do love your site!

    • Happy Life, Crafty Wife says:

Hi Judy, thanks so much! I used a template by Studio Press and did 99% of the work on my own.. I had a friend help me out with a few glitches it had.

  2. Hello Tamara,

I love the new website. I just found you today from the Silhouette Top 40 Website. Your projects are breathe taking! I seriously cannot get over how creative and fun all your projects are. Currently I have a cricut machine and I recently started reading all these great things about the silhouette, I am so in love! I have a question for you though. What kind of printer do you have and do you have any suggestions for printers? I am planning on getting the Cameo that is coming out (wa hoo!) and want to make sure I have a great printer too!

    Thank you!

I have a cricut and have been using it prob just as long as you have been! But you are WAY more talented then me! =] I was wondering what kind of camera you use?! I have a Nikon D40x myself and i want to get a new one! Also, how do you ink edges? What kind of sponges do you use and ink? Can I get them at Michaels?

    • Happy Life, Crafty Wife says:

Hi, Missy! I love stalkers.. ;) I use a Canon 5D! It’s a great camera :) I use the Color Box ‘cats eyes’ to ink, no sponges or anything. You can get the ink at Michaels, but I prefer to order my cats eyes in singles from joanns.com! I usually stock up when they have sale ;) Thanks for stopping by! And congrats on your marriage! <3

    Hi Tamara,

I’ve been following you for several months now and I continue to be amazed at your creativity. I am a big fan of Echo Park too so I was thrilled to see you had joined their design team. I have pre-ordered the Silhouette Cameo and can’t wait to use the print and cut feature. I do have a question about whether you use cardstock or photo paper when you print and cut?

P.S. Hope you’re feeling better after your surgery.

    • Happy Life, Crafty Wife says:

Hi, Christy! Thank you so much!!! :) The Cameo seems super awesome and I more than likely will get one, too! Print and cut is AWESOME!

As for what I print on.. I use the cheapie cardstock from Walmart :) I know some people prefer photo paper though.

Hi Tamara, first off, I LOVE your projects! There is so much I want to try, just need the time to try them!

I was wondering if I could use your Pinterest logo along with the twitter, and Facebook, if I ever get my own FB page for my blog… someday! I just love them!

I am so glad you have a button now, I am going to put it on my site right now!!!

    • Happy Life, Crafty Wife says:

      Thanks for stopping by!

As for my logos, I don’t see why not.. but if you do, I would appreciate a link on your sidebar somewhere (I see you said you did, but please keep it there if you use my graphics)… :) I appreciate you asking!

Hi Tamara, I have loved your blog for quite some time now, but only recently became a follower, once I figured out this whole blog thing myself. I was wondering if you have ever designed your own svg files. I have designed some unique 3D snowflakes svg files and have put them up on my new blog, but would love to get them out to other papercrafters. Do you have any advice that you wouldn’t mind sharing? You are so creative, and you have really inspired me. I love the new website and can’t wait to see what your next project will be!

  7. Brandie says:

Hi Tamara, I love following your blog, but I havent been getting any email updates. I have updated everything I know to do but still nothing. Sad day. Are email updates no longer sent?

    • Happy Life, Crafty Wife says:

Brandie, I am unsure why it’s not working?… I will look into it. Darn it all! I actually thought to make a little newsletter that goes out weekly with updates form the posts that week..

  8. Kerri Powell says:

Hello there! I LOVE everything about your site and your work…so pretty! I do have a couple of questions. Your Canon printer, how often do you find yourself replacing the ink for it? I’m trying to decide which one to purchase and I see that you use one of the ones I’ve got my eye on. Also, what are you using for the backdrop for your photos? The one that resembles wood grain. I apologize in advance if someone has already asked these questions and I’ve overlooked them!

    • Happy Life, Crafty Wife says:

Hey, Kerri! Thanks for stopping by! My printer is still pretty new, and I haven’t had to replace the ink just yet :) As for the backdrop, it’s a big vinyl photography backdrop :) You can probably just do a Google search to find places that sell them!

Hey Tamara, I love your website…you are my “go-t0″ gal for creative inspiration. I need to make 50 invitations for a Rush party at the university I work for. It is a “granny” party. I was thinking about making purse invitations…any thoughts? Do you have a purse SVG or cut file?

  10. Angie says:

Hello! I LOVE your projects and checking out your blog. I wish I had HALF the creativity you do! A while back you posted about some little things you made using m&m’s and plastic bags you stacked them in 1 on top of the other. They you had them topped with a lil farm animal. I LOVED these and I immediately ordered the same plastic bags from the ebay link you posted. When I got them I immediately tried, and FAILED, BIG TIME! How the heck did you get those darn M&M’s in there? Mine were going in sideways, and every attempt to turn them the right way resulted in the bag tearing open. I gave up and I haven’t been brave enough to try again. I have about 300 of these just itching to be used, and I really would love to try again. Is there a trick to using these? Please let me know! Thanks!

Hi Tamara: I just recently found Lori Whitlock’s site and loved her dies (“if you don’t have that software, you can not cut these files”) that she has available and she has referred me to you with my ? and further information I need. I have a Cricut Expression but do not have Sure Cuts A Lot 2 or Make the Cut software that she mentioned(and of course the Sure Cuts A lot is not compatible with my Cricut any longer, except for the “2″ which is cost prohibitive even if it can be found). Right now I don’t have any software for my Cricut, so my ? to you is; what would you suggest as software for my machine.

By the way your site and ideas are Wonderful! Great job you do and I will be visiting often.

Thanks for any help you can give me. I also have been thinking of getting the Eclips so I could use Sure Cuts A Lot but not sure of the different machines.

    Thanks again, Linda M.

  17. Hi Tamara! I couldn’t see where I could leave you a comment on your project, which is fabulous by the way! I came here from the blog hop! I’m off to find you on facebook!

  18. Quick question…

I am interested in photography and would like to know what kind of camera you use?

    Thanks,
