Hello crafty friends and creepy stalkers (There’s gotta be at least ONE, right? lol).. So happy you stopped by!
Today is all about some new stuff I have found and want to share! I love finding fun crafty stuff and I love showing you all so you go and buy it, too. *wink*
So, I was at Michaels the other day and found some cool BURLAP! I know a lot of peeps prefer the natural look of burlap; tans, creams, brown, etc. But if you’re a happy colorful person like I pretend to be.. eh.. I mean that I AM. Heehee.. No really. I am happy. See me smiling?…
<—- Me.
Then you’ll love these YUMMY colors! (not sure why I say ‘yummy’ about things that you can’t actually EAT… *shrugs*).
Check these out! There’s also a salmon’ish pink color that I didn’t get. (Psssst, hey dudes who say they don’t wear ‘pink’, your “salmon” colored shirts are PINK. Really… No look at it. THAT’S PINK!)
How beautiful is that blue? You can find this stuff in the floral section! The rolls are 4″ wide so they are perfect for crafty stuff!
Let’s all take a moment while we fantasize about wrapping ourselves in that yummy blue burlap.
Eh.. scratch that. BURLAP STINKS! Really.. Have you all noticed that? Smells like dirty car oil or something.
Am I the only one sniffing burlap? Maybe.. You can just sign me up for that My Strange Addiction show…. because sniffing burlap is far more weird than eating cotton and drywall.
*hands a cute cupcake shaped card to a friend* “Oh, Sally.. Don’t you mind that smell, it’s just my funk-tastic smelling burlap.”
Moving on.. another Michaels find! Many people know this already, but to those who don’t.. prepare to be blown away! Hold onto your pants ladies and gents…
OK.. seriously. I told you to hold onto your pants!! Now go put your britches back on before I continue.. no streakers around here, please.
Freaks.
YES.. WASHI TAPE annnnnnd BAGGIES! YAY! *throws glitter and pants*
They have TONS of tape patterns. I really did behave myself. I didn’t have a coupon so that helped me stay in control, lol. This is ‘real’ washi tape, not the shiny thick stuff. It’s awesome! And those baggies… perfect for quick and easy packaging ideas. Again, several prints to choose from!
Look at it.. LOOK!
Love.
Now, if you haven’t already packed up your 12 kids, 2 dogs, and slapped on your Crocs and yoga stretch pants to head to Michaels, I have some more to show you!
- Disclaimer.. I do not, nor have I ever worn Crocs.
OK, so everyone and their mama practically knows about this Ikea cart. But hey.. I’m a cool kid now and I FINALLY got one, so duh.. of course I have to show you!
“Look, ma! I’m a cool kid!”
I love it.. I stinkin’ LOVE it! The color.. everything! It just looks so cool! I actually think I am going to order another because I REALLY need storage. I am pretty sure my cats litter box is bigger than my craft room.
It took me so long to get one because I don’t live near an Ikea. I didn’t realize for the longest time that Ikea had it online.. and that it actually could be SHIPPED to me.
Wanna know something even better?…
No.. it didn’t come with a shirtless sexy man with a hairless oiled up chest (not car oil.. We don’t need him smelling like burlap!) holding a bottomless cup of coffee…
(hold on.. I am imagining that for a second.. huh. That would be.. nice. Ikea.. Time to step it up!)
I live about an hour from a HUGE Ikea warehouse! SHUT.UP! How did I not know this!? So really, I got it the day after it shipped. I wonder if I can do a pick up and save myself $10 next time?..
Ahhh, I can only imagine all the cool stuff in that warehouse..
I wonder how great their alarm system and security are?
Heh.. I kid, I kid.
*looks for her pantyhose mask and crowbar*
LOL.
Gosh, how weird can I get?
Actually.. Don’t ask me that. I never did put my pants back on after I threw them with that glitter earlier.
OK.. really. I need to finish this up now. Nobody likes to read blog novels. I really think I get wacky on my blog here and there for my OWN entertainment. I am not sure many other people in the world laugh at themselves as much as I do. I was an only child until I was a teenager so I grew up learning to be my own friend and playmate. I would write these crazy stories and such. My mom still has one from when I was like 7..8?.. It’s called, “The Wig That Ate My Head”. LOL! Yes.. I had issues even back then… And I will never wear a wig. I’d like to keep my head, thank you.
Moving on.. here are some more random goodies I found!
A cute heart punch to make heart confetti for the tables, projects, etc… all so I can be mad about it later when I have to clean it all up. I often get mad later on about all these ‘great ideas’ I have.
This is a Martha Stewart punch! Cute, cute!
Next up is some Target dollar spot goodness! (I LOVE those bins.. GAH! I wanna curl up inside one and hang out with all the cheap junk I don’t need!)
These are ‘chipboard’ letters. They are not super thick, but I actually really like them! The pack is a whoopin’ $1.00 and comes with solid black and black polka dot. Awesomeness! They also had other crafty finds there.. even packs of cute 12×12 Valentine paper! It just wasn’t cute enough for ME to get, lol. No.. really. It was cute, but I have SO much Valentine paper already. Don’t worry.. I put that $1.00 I saved to good use!
I found these cute 3″ heart doilies at Kmart! PERFECT for embellishing cute jars and boxes with! I might sew mine togetehr to create a banner.
Now… who wants to place bets on if I actually USE this stuff? LOL!
Welp, I guess that’s it! I have some other fun little stuff for Valentines Day, but it’s for my kids little party I am throwing them and not really ‘crafty’ stuff. Every year I do this and it’s always so much fun! I put a picture of Instagram of what I got (I’ve bought a few more thinsg since then) but here it is if you wanna see! If you want to know where something is from, just ask me!

Now comes the time where I stop my rambling and tell you to have a great day and to thank you for stopping by and being a follower of mine!
*waves*
See ya! And don’t forget your pants!

You make me laugh! You found some good stuff! Love the IKEA cart. I want to be a cool kid, too.
I love your post! And I’ve been drooling over that Ikea cart too! I see a trip to Michaels in my future…
The day you posted an Instagram of that ikea cart I was instantly online ordering my own! Woohoo! Apparently I don’t live as close to the warehouse as you do though…I’m still waiting! But can’t wait to get it! Thanks for the great tip and great post today
:)
I enjoy your posts so much haha I’m laughing here. Ohhh i want a michaels here please buuu i don’t live in usa.
I would die without a Michaels.. Ack! Hopefully you have something near you equally as cool?
You are cracking me up! Thanks for the product review on the Canon Printer the other day. I now have one of my owne and I am in “love”. My son said “why don’t you marry it, Mom?” I said “I would, but there is your dad I would have to deal with.”
You are too funny. I just bought all three of those burlaps the other day as a present for a burlap loving friend. Now I want to go back and get my own but I’ve promised myself not to buy anything til I’ve used a little of what i have.
two things: I was in Michaels the other day after not having been there in like 4 months and was blown away by the washi and the NEW LYB (the naturals colletion-jsut came in that day) they had! I limited myself to 2 packs of washi…and thank you for enabling me to go to Ikea (mine’s 20 min away but I hardly EVER go there either) to get that cart!!! Loving!
I knew I should not read your blog when I saw the title.
I just knew that you were going to try to enable me to buy some neat stuff. I’ve been trying to stay out of Michaels and Ikea lately.
I love that cart. I just may have to get myself one. And now I have the devil on one shoulder and the angel on the other. The devil trying to entice me to go to Michaels and the angel telling me that I really need to use what I have. LOL! Not sure who will win but probably a good thing that I lent a friend my car right now.
Thanks for the laughter. I love reading your novels.
You crack me up. Loved. Every. Word. And I usually don’t even read blog post words at all, but yours are my have!
Your post made me smile. I totally understand the only child thing.
That’s where I learned to talk to myself. lol!
Wow, you are full of entertainment today, aren’t you? That was a super fun post – and yep – I need to go to Michaels. They need to come out with more burlap colors – those are beautiful and can’t wait to smell them! Thank goodness I have that cart already, or else, I would have to go to Ikea as well. Although, I can still use a trip to Ikea anytime. Your essay that you wrote way back in school is hilarious… and somehow, I can still imagine you writing about the same thing! I can’t wait to see all those Valentine goodies all prettied up for your kiddos
This is the first time I am seeing THE CART! Must have! Love how you have your 6×6 pads in it. I need a new way to store mine and be able to “roll” them to where I’m at! Thanks for sharing all the stuff you’ve found. Love it all. And you’re freakin’ hilarious!
Yes! It holds quite a bit 6×6 pads, for sure! I love having them all lined up and easy to look through.
so…WHAT. ARE. YOU. ON.? whew! it took my breath away just reading the (entire) blog posting. yeah! i get it…burlap stinks like earth smell, which i don’t like, but am totally cool with using it on cards and art and stuff.
What am I on? Not a damn thing.
Thanks for askin’.
