Well, well.. look who it is.. I’ve been expecting you! Yes, really!! Did you bring me coffee? You DID?! Awesome.

Here we are, another round of a fabulous design team blog hop with the Carta Bella girls! I hope you’ve been inspired and have loved the projects you’ve seen so far!

Today I have a vacation photo box to share. This was super quick and fun to create. I used the AMAZING ‘Well Traveled’ collection for this. This collection has got to be one of the best travel lines I’ve seen! I love the colors and vintage feel to the graphics. To create this I used a Lori Whitlock cutting file which you can find HERE.

Purty darn cool! And totally useful! You can make several ‘themes’ to store extra photos that may not make it to scrapbook albums and such. Perfect!

I am pretty much in love with this camera die cut. I got the shape in the Silhouette store. Added the ‘New York’ sticker with an Epiphany Crafts epoxy over it to create a ‘lens’. Then I added on some tiny brads and gray cord to make a camera strap. Um, yeah. Hello awesome idea! So happy to have met you!  You should come around more often!

*high five* for scrumptious embellies! I am so into brads right now. I think I might just start calling my husband Brad. Yeah. That’ll work.

Did’ja know Carta Bella’s ‘Well Traveled’ collection has WASHI TAPE! I added a little taste of it here and there to my box. Those cool roller stamps (arrows and cameras) are from Glitz Design. Really neat and I am glad I snagged them!

Alrighty, now for my BONUS giveaway. I am giving away a Well Traveled 6×6 paper pad, layered stickers, AND a pack of three washi tapes! I will chose a winner from my blog comments AND Facebook page. Here’s how it will work. When selecting the winner I will count blog comments first and my Facebook WALL COMMENTS. So if you follow me on Facebook and post to my wall that will get you an extra entry!

  • Go to my FACEBOOK PAGE. Click ‘like’ (if you haven’t already)… post something to my FACEBOOK WALL; that you are a follower, say hello,  leave me a smiley face, tell me your credit card info (LOL)..etc. The comment must be posted between 2/21 and 3/1. YAY! Good luck!

Doodle-buggy cuteness

Who loves some Doodlebug Designs?! I love the cartoony cuteness of it and it’s GREAT for kids crafts like cards, tags, goodie bags, etc. It’s always a ‘go-to’ when I need to create a fun and cutesy project. I needed a cute Christmas goodie bag so I whipped up this adoooorable bag with a few files from SVG Cuts and Doodlebug’s ‘Santa’s Workshop’ papers and stickers.

How can you not smile at that? I thought the little window with the elf hanging out was a cute touch! He wants to hang some candy canes on the tree!…

…. Or beat Santa and the other elf with them.. he is kinda looking at that other elf with a crazy eye “I’m gonna get you” expression… he looks like he would snap at the sight of a simple crooked bow. Eh… Either way, it’s cute!

See the cool tree? Ya see how it’s ‘folded’? Super easy to do with SVG Cuts’ Christmas Cheer SVG Kit. (Tree card). I love how it adds a bit of dimension. I added some ‘ornaments’ with Epiphany Crafts round 14 shape tool.

“Hi, Santa!!!”

For the bag I used SVG Cuts Vintage Halloween Bags (I cut the handle off and added my own with large eyelets and wire) and the scalloped window was created using the Scalloped Shapes Collection.

And while I am on the topic of SVG Cuts, did you SEE the new kit? Back pats for me since I suggested this stuff, LOL! We are big.. biiiig.. almost to a creepy level Elf on the Shelf fans here so I am SUPER excited about this, I just need to get some light ‘skin’ colored paper first.. and that won’t happen until Saturday. Waaaaah…. Such a bummer! I guess I could use burnt oraneg and make the elves overly tanned Jersey Shore-esque, LOL! But hey, YOU can play! Use code ‘FREEGIFT’ and get it FREE with a purchase fo $9.98 or more!

Introducing, Santa’s Helpful Elves!

Alrighty, folks.. I’m sick.. AGAIN!…. I know.. how do I manage to stay alive at this rate. Yes, I really am sick like every other month lately. It’s quite ridiculous. Plus I am in full swing Santa mode over here! Baking, gifting, celebrating, etc. so I might be a bit quiet the next week or so while I drown myself in gift wrap, cookies, fudge, prime rib, and peppermint mochas.

Latest SVG Cuts project – Happy Holidays Treat Mug

Heeeeeey there!

So excited to share my latest  SVG Cuts project! I knew I wanted a ‘mug’ for holiday goodie packaging.. SVG Cuts does have a cute teacup in the Tea For You and Me kit, but the style just would not work. I needed a mug, darn it! Soooo.. I made a mug from a beach pail.. Oh, yeah! And the best part is, it actually WORKED, lol (I won’t get into how many ‘flop’ projects I’ve had.) I am not one for making the ‘outside the box’ projects.. my brain doesn’t work like that, but I gotta say.. I felt all crazy cool making my mug from a pail, LOL! *does a little dance*

So, here’s my holiday mug treat holder! I was going to put marshmallows in it, but the caramel popcorn looked prettier. Besides, I rather eat popcorn instead marshmallows, lol.

Not that I eat stuff I use for projects or anything… *wipes popcorn crumbs off my face*

Isn’t it so ‘warm’ feeling? I love the papers I used! I used some Simple Stories with a small touch of October Afternoon and Echo Park. My favorite part.. besides the popcorn of course, is the snowflake with that big ‘ol wood button!

I was pretty amused with the fact that the boxwoods I made from SVG Cuts 3D Wintergreens Kit actually came out.. and what’s this?… Those shiny red things.. “Oooohhhh.. shiiiiiiny” lol. I used my Epiphany Crafts shape tool (round 14) for some ‘berries’.

Yes.. to YOU!….. I am so nice, right?

Just don’t be mad if the mug is empty when you get it.

LOL..

In all honesty, I’m actually not big on popcorn… and this set still looks exactly like the photos, popcorn and all. No crumbs on my face to wipe off.. etc. I am such a fibber.. waaah. Lying to my blog readers for their entertainment. *hangs head* Although, were you really THAT entertained at the thought of me eating popcorn?..

Maybe if you have a unshowered chick eating popcorn at her craft table fetish or something. Weird.

Anyhow, if ya want to make one for yourself you’ll need these SVG Cuts kits. Even if you don’t wanna make this super cool mug, you still need these kits, so click on over and snag’em!

A little more kits than I normally would use, but sometime’s you just NEED something from another kit to make it look just right. For example, I used just the little pitcher handle from the Home for the Holidays kit, that’s it.. But the mug would not be the same without it!

Now, for all the sizing deets, head on over to THIS blog post! I walk ya through step-by-step on how to make this! If you make one.. or 100.. share them on my Facebook page (and SVG Cuts page) We all LOVE to see our (DT members) work recreated by the SVG Cuts fans! makes us feel like cool kids. Although, I am cool either way, so.. yeah.

Anyhow, while I am talkin’ SVG Cuts, did you see their announcement for the 12 days of Christmas? Almost wish I wasn’t on the DT so I could play along.. lol (not really!) But seriously.. GREAT prizes, peeps! Sizzix eclips, Silhouette Cameo, paper, embellishments (including some from my shop, Paper Play Studio!), $100 gift card.. So be sure to be on the look out and join in the fun! It’s gonna be ah-maaaaaaazing!

Alrighty, time for me to stop yappin’ and send ya packin’.

No.. no need to read that last sentence again.. it was lame enough the first time around.

*crickets chirping*

*whack.. whack.. whack.. *

No.. I’m not whacking at you.. I’m whacking at all the crickets that are hanging around in here! Get on outta here you crickets with your big heads and weird skinny legs!

Holy moley.. seriously, Tamara?! You haven’t blogged since October 19th?..  *hands head* Major blogger fail.

If anyone is still around here, I am SO sorry to have neglected my blog. I got a few “Are you alive” comments/emails and I’m here to say.. yes, I AM alive. (Well, as alive I can be without any coffee in me yet)… So I guess that would be more like, I am here.. but I’m totally a zombie. Braaaaaaains.

So, what HAVE I been doing if I haven’t been hanging around my blog entertaining you all?.. Well, let’s just say I have been busy and just ‘mentally’ tied up. I had a rough mid/end of October and early November but I brushed the crafty funk away and have projects in the works and it feels goooood! Life sometimes gets in the way, ya know? It can’t always been crafting, fun times, wearing underware on your head, and coffee.. lol.

Anyhow, I have a few things to share! Just some cute cards I have created for Echo Park.. my paper lover. Most of you might have seen these on EP’s blog.. but I love ‘em, so they need to be on my blog, too!

First up is a 3D ‘tree’ card created with This & That ‘Christmas’ collection. This collection is just SO beautiful! I think this card came out really cute. That woodgrain paper is so lovely!

If you want to give this ‘cone’ tree technique a try, I made up a little (and perfectly pin-able) tutorial!

1). Cut 3-4 circles. My largest circle was about 3 – 3.25″. Make each additional circle slightly smaller than the previous one. Fold circles in half to create a ‘guide’ line.

2). Open up circle and using the guidelines you folded, add a very thin line of glue. Adhere together on opposite ends along the folded line.

3). Pinch and fold into a cone shape (photo does not show my circle adhered, so you could do it without step #2, but it does help it fold nicer and more evenly)

4). Repeat with all your circles and then adhere/layer them into each other like shown. Then adhere to your card, layout, etc.! Super easy and a great way to add dimension!

If you give this a go, I’d love for you to share it on my FACEBOOK WALL! I always love to see your projects inspired by my work.

Now here’s a very sweet little shaker card using Echo Park’s mini theme, ‘Happy Holidays’ I LOVE the colors and stickers in this theme and wish it was a full collection. I can’t get enough! I created this card by creating a scalloped oval die cut window with a sheet of acetate and glitter behind it. Creates a fun wintery scene with the tree stickers. I added a cluster of embellishments with buttons, stickers, and twine! My favorite! I love to jumble things together and didn’t realize I did that until Mary (From SVG Cuts) pointed it out.. then I was like, oh yeah! I am a total cluster-er. lol!

I just love those little candy stickers! I topped them with a round Epiphany Crafts epoxy sticker.

Since I am on the topic of Echo Park, did you SEE the new collection? Are you feeling the ‘love’?… I know I am! Can’t wait to get my hands on this pretty collection. This collection will also have embellishments! Such a treat! Click HERE to view the full collection!

And let’s not forget PHOTO FREEDOM! I just got done with my assignment using the ‘Dear Santa’ kit. I gotta admit, I was a little ‘worried’ because this is something I’ve never done before. Did I mention layouts and the like scare me? lol. Buuuut, I DID it! I even enjoyed it! I can see how this kind of ‘scrapbooking’ is becoming so popular now. It’s EASY! Slide some pre-made images in the sleeves, add in some photos and a bit of embellishing and ta-da! Awesomeness! If you follow me on my INSTAGRAM you might have seen a few peeks of my work.  I can’t wait to share them with you all! There’s a NEW free idea book out to show you ways to use the Photo Freedom kits! Check it out!

Alrighty, peeps! Time to head off of here! Thanks so much for stopping by and I am happy to be ‘back in action’.

SVG Cuts is rocking Day 3 of the Fa-BOO-Lous week!

Hey, hey! Welcome to day 3 of my Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween Inspiration week! Are you having fun? I sure am… Have you started on Halloween crafts? Have you been making Halloween stuff since.. oh.. I dunno.. JULY like I practically have been? lol. If so.. you’re my kind of people! New best friends? Me thinks so! We need special jackets!

I have been way too excited about this feature! SVG Cuts has been my paper crafty family pretty much from the second week I started this whole paper crafting thing! They were my very first design team..  I remember following their blog thinking, “If only I could craft like that…” I would enter their challenges hoping I would get on their DT… and here I am, two years later! On their wonderful DT, seeing Mary create her amazing kits every week.. salivating at Leo’s awesome photos and videos and being so proud to be on a DT full of these AMAZINGLY talented women. My friends… My crafty family *hearts fluttering*. Most of you know I flew out to Chicago this past summer and actually stayed with Mary and Leo (owners of SVG Cuts) at their beautiful home. They are some of the coolest people… hopefully they think I am pretty cool, too. Just don’t tell ‘em I tried to kidnap their cat. (LOL JK!)

While I was there I also got to meet the fabulous Thienly and Fleurette who are also on the DT! I had met Corri this past January at Winter CHA (and also saw her in Chicago!)  It really is the coolest thing to meet all these ‘internet friends’ in person.. Like.. “Oh, HI.. so you ARE real!” lol! I wish we could have all met up! What a party that would be!… Especially with me there.. hellllloo! LOL!

So, here I am.. showing some of the newest kits/collections from SVG Cuts with three fellow SVG Cuts designers. Amy, Corri, and Thienly. I am so happy they’ve joined me.. and really, really happy they made great projects! (Why wouldn’t they? lol They rock socks!) A special thank you to the three of them… and an even bigger thank you to Mary and Leo for dealing with my craziness and keeping me around! I can be a bit… odd.

Let’s get this going.. no more mushy crud. No mushy crud allowed during this spooky Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween week! Release the ghosts and zombies and let’s get started!

First up is ME!!! I decided to go a different route with SVG Cuts files and NOT do a paper craft. I was inspired by a fellow (and way too talented) SVG Cuts DT member, Brigit. She recently made some iron on decal bags.. LOVED them. So, I stole her idea and made my own version! When SVG Cuts released the Spooky Cuties collection I about died. I LOVE them. I don’t think I’ve stopped touching them since, LOL! I have a few projects in the works with these little cuties on them and just can’t wait to share!

My project.. TA-DA!!! A Trick or Treat bag! Don’t even try to pretend this is not adorable. It’s stinkin’ adorable!

I took a simple plain bag from State Line Bag Company, and turned it into this little masterpiece! A customized Trick or Treat bag! I added on some orange zig-zag stitching to the edges, a frayed ruffle trim with buttons and some Trendy Twine and then ironed on some decals I printed. The Spooky Cuties SVG Cuts collection actually comes with PRINTABLES! Yes, folks.. buy yourself some iron on decal paper (I used Avery brand) and you can easily make these too!

How cute are those cuties?

So, carrying on with the Spooky Cuties, and me trying to make awesome stuff.. is my next project! This is another fun one and non paper crafty. I always love to give ‘seasonal’ little gifts to my kids. Yes, they are slightly spoiled.. and I am just too fun, so this is what I do :) I got them all sorts of Halloween themed goodies, lots of craft supplies, jammies, books, shirts, etc. and I needed something to put it all in.. or.. umm.. some of it since I went overboard. I picked up this large bucket from the Dollar Tree (so only $1.00!) and I ordered some Silhouette double sided adhesive paper and decided to make my own glitter stickers to decorate it with. I chose the skeleton dude since he would be the easiest to make. I ran out of white glitter so I just used white vinyl for his ‘bones’. The black part is all glittered. I REALLY like how this came out. Super easy to make! Just cut like you would a paper pieced file, peel off the top layer, add glitter, then peel off the backing and adhere to the bucket! It’s really strong adhesive too! Here it is!

So, sooo fun! Here are a few close up shots… and a shot of the whole set up together!

(ignore my hot glue mess, lol)

And ‘the’ set up! Needless to say they were so excited!!! And of course it wouldn’t have been the same without that custom gift basket!

OK, OK.. enough about me! Let’s move on to these amazing guest designers.. My SVG Cuts friends!!! *back flip* Make sure you stop by their blogs.. they are each having their OWN giveaway! Keep reading to see what goodies they’re giving away.. plus see what I am giving away! It’s more ‘fall’ themed and not so Halloweenie. :) YAY!

First up is Amy. She’s such a sweetie.. so fun and so very talented with her collages and scrapbook pages! Amy blogs over at Aim it Up. Stop by and see more of her project, plus she is giving away a giftcard to Michaels craft store!!! So fun! She’s also on FACEBOOK.. stop by and give her a ‘like’.

Amy created this Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween weekly countdown. How creative is this??

Amy said, “I am so excited to be a guest designer for the Fa-Boo-Lous Halloween Inspiration Week! I am on the SVG Cuts DT and love Halloween. I thought it would be fun to create a Halloween Countdown. I started with today’s date 10.3 (4 weeks until Halloween!) and counted down the weeks. I also did a treat holder for the day before and Halloween Night. I started out with a shadowbox and removed the glass. I cut six boxes from SVG Cuts latest kit called Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Kit. I cut them on my Sizzix eclips using Ecal software. I also added some cuts from SVG Cuts Spooky Cuties SVG Collection. I designed the countdown dates in Adobe Illustrator and used the Epiphany Crafts Tool to create them. One stop at Joanns and I loaded it up with lots of goodies. You should of seen my boys when I showed them the countdown – their eyes lit up! “

Wow, right?! Head to her BLOG to see those detailed images and enter for a chance to win that $20 giftcard!

Up next is Corri from Bug Lover Cards! Corri knows how to keep it clean, simple, and classy! She’s the newest member to the SVG Cuts DT and we are excited to have her with us! Well, well.. what did Corri make to share with you all today? A fabulous card and ‘BOO’ gift box (perfect for the Fa-BOO-Lous week, wouldn’t you agree?!)

Corri said, “For my project, I used several files from SVG Cuts and paper and elements from October Afternoon’s Witch  Hazel collection. I used the adorable little ghost from the Spooky Cuties collection and stamped her face with some PKS face parts. “

Corri’s also having a fun giveaway on HER BLOG! Check it out! She’s got a Michaels craft store giftcard up for grabs! You should also swing by her Facebook page and say hello!

And last, but certainly not least.. Thienly from Mod Paperie! She also joined me over on the State Line Canvas Bag post (with  a giveaway, so check it out!). She’s awesome.. she knows it.. you know it. ’nuff said!

Thienly made a DARLING witches hat.. a little shimmer and glimmer goes a long way! I love the look of this!

Stunning! Thienly said, “Glitter and shimmer makes everything look pretty! I was inspired to make a glam version of the Witch Hat Box from Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Kit.  A simple project, easy to make, but an eye-catchy decor that holds yummy treats inside – PERFECT for Halloween parties!

How amazing! And again, ANOTHER giveaway! Head to Thienly’s BLOG to see more details on this project and enter her giftcard giveaway! She’s got one for $10 to SVG Cuts! Also, she’s got a fun Facebook page. Stop by and give her a ‘like’. She’s creepin’ up to 1,000 followers! Goooo Thienly!

Welcome to the Echo Park DT blog hop!

It’s your favorite time of the month! The monthly EP DT blog hop full of projects with all the latest amazing collections! We’re so happy you’ve joined us!

Welcome to the Echo Park Paper Design Team Blog Hop! Today the Echo Park Paper Design Team is showcasing projects from our latest collections. Be sure to follow the blog hop list below as you hop from one blog to the next. Return to the Echo Park Paper blog at any time for the next blogger on the list in case you get lost or confused! ONE winner will be selected from each blog to receive an Echo Park Paper collection kit of their choosing. To qualify for the kit, comments will be due by midnight EST, Sunday, September 23rd to qualify for the drawing. The winner will be announced on each blog Monday, September 24th so be sure to check back to see if you’ve won.

Today I’ve got two cards to share with ya!

First card is using one of my favorite EP collections, For the Record 2 – Documented! I call this card the ‘accidental awesomeness’. Why? Because when I was using my twist trimmer to add the ‘pinking’ edge, my hand slipped and I cut it at an angle. So.. I cut another perfectly straight piece… then sat there and stared at my two strips. After a 5 minute long conversation with myself, I decided to use the ‘mistake’ strip.. and I liked it! The angled strip of pleated paper almost gives ‘movement’ to the card with the yummy bicycle chipboard piece above it!

Do ya loves it? It’s pretty simple, but I like it! You really can’t make anything ‘wrong’ with this beautiful collection!

Next up is this Very Merry Christmas card.

I was inspired by the ‘Deck the Halls’ sentiment and made a card  with the ‘decorations’. I used the stocking and ornament stickers and then created red ‘berries’ with my Epiphany Crafts round 14 shape tool and added them over the holly leaf stickers! And of course I had to throw some rosettes on there.

What do you think? Be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win an Echo Park Paper kit of your choice!! Whoo-hoo! Good luck and keep on hopping.. but… before I send you on your way, I am going to share a current PDF project of mine, plus another one that will be up soon, so keep an eye out for it!

First I have this awesome altered star decor I made with Chillingsworth Manor! I really just LOVE how this came together! You can download the FREE PDF project sheet HERE!

Eeeek… cool, right? Tell me how cool it is! lol jk! (well, unless you want to, of course, lol)

And last for today I have this UPCOMING Free project download using Everyday Eclectic! Keep an eye out for it in the downloads section.

Isn’t this fun? I love this collection.. well.. I love them all!

OK.. OK.. Off you go now! You’re headed to the talented Linda’s blog!

Thank you again for joining us in the blog hop and I hope you’ve been inspired! Happy crafting, friends! Feel free to follow my crafty page on FACEBOOK if you’re new here!

Epiphany Crafts projects, DT call, and a new toy!

Uh. Hi.

So…. Do I get the worlds worst blogger award? I haven’t been very entertaining lately, but that all changes now! I have been busy crafting.. of course! I am working well ahead of my deadline for Echo Park and I even gave myself extra projects because I LOVE the latest collections (yeah.. who does that? Gives themselves ‘extra’ work? lol) I will be happily shipping my box of projects off on Monday… (if you look extra closely to my Instagram feed you can see a peek of a project using Chillingsworth manor!) And speaking of Monday, be sure to stop by for the monthly Echo Park DT blog hop and to see my announcement! I’m super excited about this one!

Anyhow, with me being behind on blogging, I decided to share some of my recent Epiphany Crafts projects in one post. My DT term is ending very soon for EC (end of this month!) and I just finished my very last project the other day. But with that means that they are looking for NEW DT members! Check out the DT Call for more info! (and good luck to those who are applying!)

On with the projects! All this stuff is fairly simple…

First I have this card from our Pinterest inspiration week! I used the fun star shape tool here with Echo Park’s ‘This and That’ Charming collection!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Next up I have this cute flower pot photo/note holder. Yep, I’ve made a couple ‘note holders’ before.. I have no shame.. I do like to repeat stuff and give it a different look! We highlighted the flower tools and I used Echo Park’s ‘So Happy Together’ (Which I LOVE).

And last up I have a project which is posted TODAY on the EC blog! Make sure you stop by their blog to check out the giveaway! This week we worked with Little Yellow Bicycle’s ‘Splash’ collection! I made a cute goodie box!

Photobucket

Cute box is from SVG Cuts’ ‘Camp Smores’ kit!

You likey?…

Again, don’t forget about that design team call going on NOW! You know you wanna play with all those yummy shape tools!

Moving on…

I got a new toy! *backflips*

It’s pretty exciting to me.. suppah exciting… pretty sure I peed a little.

Yes, I am gross.. but this is my blog, right?.. lol.

I got a Polaroid camera! (takes mini credit card sized photos)..

Photobucket

“Umm, Tamara.. you DO know that Polaroid is soooo 1940′s?”

Uh, no.. Polaroid is all too cool and totally ‘in’ right now! I love it! I have been thinking about getting one but what really pushed me over the edge was seeing this little cutie camera in action at the Dear Lizzy/American Crafts booth! Liz had this camera and I have a picture taken with her in all it’s mini Polaroid cuteness (which you will NOT be seeing as I look horrid.. No.. really. I am pretty sure most people look horrid next to her though, lol.)

I really look forward to playing with it a bit this weekend! I think it will be fun to use the photos in mini albums and layouts… or just stick them all over my house! lol. I ordered some accessories for it and some cute pink and white polka dot film, which is not here yet. I really wish they made more stuff for it. When I like something I want to get every little thing that goes with it. It’s quite ridiculous.. but it’s ME!

Alright my crafty friends.. time to send you off! Make sure you come back on Monday for my announcement!… It’s gonna be faaaaabulous!

Bring me a present, too.

And a coffee..

Epiphany Crafts and Helmar!

Monday’s here?.. Really?.. This weekend flew by for me!

So, this week at Epiphany Crafts we’ve teamed up with Helmar! Their quality adhesive was great for assembling my project!

I made a cute giftbag with the BRAND NEW Carta Bella ‘Beautiful Moments’ papers. Wow.. these are high quality papers, I just love them! They are nice and thick with a beautiful texture. I used a bag from SVG Cuts’ Vintage Halloween Bags SVG Kit as my base and then embellished from there with rosettes, stickers, Thickars, etc… and of course, My Epiphany Crafts tools! I use round 14 and 25 over the rosettes and I use a button heart 20 as a little accent.

Epiphany Crafts – Rainbow week!

**If you are looking for the Echo Park Blog Hop, please go HERE!**

Another blog post.. seems like all I have done today! LOL!

This is the last one for the day! Epiphany Crafts theme this week is ‘rainbow colors’. Rainbows are not usually my ‘thing’ so I wasn’t sure on what to make. I went ahead and did some cute and simple cards that are very bright and happy! All with white card bases and the only color being the ‘rainbow’ colors. Here’s my card trio I made:

My favorite is the ‘happy’ card. I love how the round 14 shapes with the brads look like little candies!

The little rainbow card features a cutting file from SVG Cuts and the adorable scalloped circle shapes as the ‘clouds’.

And the last card is a just a fun mix of washi tape!

As usual, Epiphany Crafts has a bit of fun going on on the blog!

We hope you’ll join in! We’ll give you a little time so you can create and play along with us. The challenge rules are:

Make a project that clearly shows Epiphany Crafts Tools and Embellishments (Bubble Caps, Brad Settings, Charm Settings, etc) plus include a rainbow of color. Your interpretation of that rainbow is entirely up to you.

Then post it on the Epiphany Blog in our comments with links to your blog, online gallery, site, or if you prefer you may post to our Epiphany Crafts Facebook wall or email us at JSandvoss@epiphanycrafts.com. All entries should be in NO LATER then Friday, June 29th.

For doing all that…we’re going to enter those participants to win… our Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Tool plus a pack of Bubble Caps and Charm Settings. Our Round 25 is the tool that well..you must have. There, I said it! It’s the one you’ll go to again and again!

Epiphany Crafts and Authentique Paper …. Yummy yum!

Hello, hello! Happy Wednesday!

I’m here today to share a project with you for Epiphany Crafts! This week we’ve teamed up with Authentique Paper! I got to work with the awesome (not yet released) ’Lively’ collection! LOVE the colors!

This week I was really stuck on what to make for some reason. Usually I see the papers I have to work with, etc. and I have things planned out almost right away… not so much this time. So I was sitting here.. doing who knows what.. probably picking at my cuticles or something.. and I saw a Maya Road tin filled with chipboard sitting in my ‘junk’ box (basically stuff I need to find a place for.. it never seems to end, yet I keep buying more crap). I saw the tin and thought, ‘Awwww, yeahs!’.. I dumped all the chipboard out (which my cat later ended up finding and chewing on a piece.. you know, because chipboard is so yummy and all. I swear the cat is an alien of some sort) Anyhow, I love altering things, making boxes, etc.. as I am sure many of you noticed by now. So I got busy and had it done in less than an hour! *high five* for a quick project! But, I felt it needed something else.. a card?.. nah… another tin?.. Yessum! However I didn’t really have anything that would work… that was.. until I finished shoveling my almonds down my throat and had a nifty little almonds tin with a perfectly coordinating orange lid.

Ta-Da!

I love my little crochet and burlap ‘flowers’ I made. The EC shape tool and the vintage settings topped them off perfectly!

I braided some jute cord and made a handle (after nearly slicing my finger off removing the original handle.. yes, I ‘almost’ slice my fingers off at least every other week.

And here’s the little round almonds tin.. turned into fabulousness…
