Pebbles guest designer – YAY!

** Looking for the Carta Bella blog hop? Scroll down through this post, or click HERE! **

I am way too excited for today! I have all sorts of pretties to share! (Hop on over to the Carta Bella blog hop post, too! I have a giveaway happening over there!) I have been busy over here creating some projects for Pebbles! I was contacted and asked if I would make some goodies to share with their blog readers.. of course I said yes! When my box came I did a little happy dance because I LOVE both collections, especially Tricks & Treats! I ended up ordering even more after seeing it in person. I have two other projects to share using that collection, but I need to finish them up first.

Before I share my projects, I want to mention that Pebbles is having a giveaway today on their blog along with my post! Raise your hand if you like free stuff! *raises hand*.. so get on OVER THERE and leave a comment!

Ready for some Treats?… What about some Tricks?… What about some Tricks & Treats? First up is this super cool card! I LOVE how this came out and I REALLY wanted to do a video to show how I made it, but that will have to wait. My house isn’t exactly quiet much. Mama needs a studio… and it would have to be at least a mile away. Right now I have a tiny shoebox craft room and it’s between two kids rooms… sometimes they think this room is THEIR personal art room.. No.. No, monster children, it’s not… and dag nabbit, stop cutting paper with mommy’s fabric scissors!

So, here’s my trick or treat bag card! I saw the round stickers on the sticker sheet and thought, “Hey.. lollipops!” and with that.. a card was born.

Go on.. I’ll let you tell me how stinkin’ cute this it! I wrapped some cellophane around them and tied ‘em up with some Trendy Twine! The little bag was made very easily.. and I promise I will get a tutorial or video up as soon as I can!

How ya like them there lollipops??

Moving on to a simple little gift box. I had something else planned to share, but decided to post this one instead! This gift box was made using the Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Kit from SVG Cuts! I didn’t change anything, simply opened the file in my eCal software and cut it with my Sizziz eclips ! Easy peasy!

Little touch of wire, burlap and a Spooky Cuties SVG Cuts bat, and you’re done!

I added an Epiphany Crafts epoxy sticker to the ‘Eeek’ circle.. just to add some snazz. I’m all about the snazz… and pizazz… and (some) jazz… and being a spazz (most def.)… and..

OK.. I will shut it now.

Don’t wanna make you… mazz… (LOL *snort*. Instead of ‘mad’.. ‘mazz’.. Get it? I got jokes, peeps… I got jokes. I’m available for all your entertainment needs. You know where to fnd me.)

Next up is another cool project! I have been keeping these bottles around for awhile and the Tricks & Treats collection was PERFECT for them! My favorite part? The Thickers! Mmmmmm! Love me some Thickers! Add some glitter to them? Even bet-tah!

So fun! They look great on my table as a decoration. I filled them up with gumballs!

Wouldn’t those be so cool to give as a gift?  They would be cute sitting on a teacher’s desk!

Next up is sweet little card. I was also sent Walnut Grove to work with, It’s really beautiful! I love the colors in it.

It’s pretty simple.. and kinda ‘pops’ with the bright coral colored ribbon and dark background. I added some buttons over the daisy stickers which I thought were a cute little touch.  Everything’s cuter with a button! (Off to glue a million buttons to myself..)

Thank you so much for stopping by! Follow me on FACEBOOK if you don’t already! I’m creepin’ up to 3,000 followers and for some reason that’s quite exciting for lil ‘ol me!

A HUGE thank you to Pebbles for having me! It’s been fun and I hope I’ve shown Pebbles off well!

Don’t forget.. Head over to the PEBBLES BLOG to enter the GIVEAWAY!! You know you want some beautiful Pebbles product to play with!

Freshly brewed up PDF’s and a blog post for Echo Park!

You like that, huh?.. ‘freshly brewed’.. Like witches brew.. get it?.. maybe?.. Halloween coming and all?.. eh.

So, I (and the other DT members!) have fresh new FREE PDF projects up for grabs through Echo Park! I am excited to share a few with ya!

First up is this Chillingsworth Manor card. This is actually on the blog today, STOP BY AND SEE HOW I MADE IT! I really like it! Of course I threw some wire in there.

Next up is another Chillingsworth Manor card (I’ve been buried in this collection.. me likey. me likey a lot). This is a FREE PDF project download with full instructions and supply list. Get it HERE!

There’s that wire again.. Remember, I am the rosette abuser, pleated trim over user, and the wire goober. LOL! Ah.. I crack myself up. I’m so lame. And I like it.

Moving on with the awesomeness, I have this adorable stocking up with a FREE PDF download! You might have seen this in the newsletter that recently went out. Get it RIGHT HERE! I really like how this came out, and I hope you do too! I love working for Echo Park and designing these things to ‘hopefully’ inspire you all! Are ya feeling inspired?.. *grins*

‘Feel inspired dag-nabbit!!!!’ *pokes you with a pitchfork*

Not sure why I have a pitchfork.. Am I a little devil.. or an old grumpy farmer?

Last one to share, I posted a photo of this before, but the download is up now, RIGHT HERE! This is such a fun gift box!

Which one is your favorite?.. I am always curious what people are drawn to. It seems like that projects I extra super duper love seem to be ’so-so’ for others (or you love ‘em.. and just don’t comment, etc.).. and the projects I am ‘Eh.. it’s cool’ about get oodles of comments and love. So weird. Am I the messed up one? Or is it all of you?.. LOL jk!

Before I head off and get some projects done, be sure you download the NEW FREE ebook ‘Season’s Greetings’ It is quite amazing! Jen Gallacher always does such a great job with them. I pink fluffy heart love her. The DT rocked it and there’s SO many inspiring projects from both Echo Park AND Carta Bella.. I am lucky enough to be on both teams *smiles*. I have four projects in this book. There was a little boo-boo and one project was credited to another designer.. it’s a cute little tree box (Pleated designed tree on top.. of course, lol).  I can’t show you anything from the book, so get on the download buttons and see for yourself!

Oh! I created this ‘Pin worthy’ image if you’d like to pin these cards! My regular ‘pin it’ link is not working, but you can use the little gray/red one at the very end of the post. Enjoy!

See ya soon! I am a busy bee over here today!

Fa-BOO-Lous week WINNERS!!!!

*happy dance*

Whew.. how fun was last week?! I mean.. REALLY?! Too many cool projects and hopefully you all were inspired in some way and have been crafting away making some fun Halloween projects! If you make something inspired by a project you saw on my blog, I would LOVE to see! Load it up on my FACEBOOK WALL!

OK, folks.. let’s get down to business! As most of you know I only did FOUR days last week. I had some little events happen at the end of the week.. along with a massive headache Thursday night (you know.. the kind that literally make you feel like tossing your cookies.. or in my case.. coffee…. yeah.. no fun!) Plus I started the post for the last day.. my DIY Halloween Decor day, I was basically just going to just pat my own back and show you all the cool stuff I made to decorate with, lol! But the post was getting sooo very long and LOTS of pictures. So, I am going to break up those posts and will still do the day #5 giveaway sometime coming up soon. I hope you forgive me for cutting the Fa-BOO-Lous week short. *hand slap* All better?.. Feel free to kick me in my shins and snag my nose piercing on a blanket because trust me.. Now that you’re done beatin’ me up.. shall I announce the winners?

I do believe I shall.

First, the Ghostess with the Mostess challenge. This wasn’t quite as popular as I was hoping, that’s OK.. I still love you all. lol.. *gives you the evil eye..* This was quite a fun prize pack! Who’s the lucky ghosty winner? Well this one was picked by my kiddos. Or.. it was suppose to be. lol. When I asked them to tell me which one they liked best, they LOVED them all, lol. I was like.. but which do YOU like the best?.. Who should win? My 7 year old daughter then started to lecture me. “It’s not nice to pick who you like best, what if someone gets their feelings hurt, everyone tried their best, etc, etc.” I am SO glad she has such a good heart.. and she’s right. So, I picked randomly. Using a random number generator and numbering the entries in order of upload. The winner is LARA WALKER with her Fa-BOO-Lous clothespin wreath! This thing is TOO COOL! I think I want to make one, no joke! Thank you Lara for playing along! Please contact me to claim your prize!!! CONGRATS!

It just wouldn’t be a Fa-BOO-Lous week without some TRENDY TWINE!

Day four of my Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween week and we’re still going strong with awesome giveaways and amazing projects! So much fun on one blog.. how is this possible?.. lol *wink*

So, you all might have seen me mention Trendy Twine in.. oh.. every post so far this week! This is my ‘go to’ twine. I am picky about my twine. I don’t like it too thick, I don’t like it to get fuzzy.. and I don’t like it to unravel too easily. Is that asking too much? I mean REALLY now? And with the variety of colors Trendy Twine has, it’s easy to find what you need! When I saw peeks of the new Halloween colors I was SO excited. I had to have them ALL. (Actually going to order a big spool of the grape licorice.. I LOVE it so much!) I love unique colors that not every other twine shop has and Trendy Twine does a great job of keeping things new and fresh!

To show off this yummy twine I brought along some fun and talented guest designers! Six of them! LOL.. So you’re sure to see some fun ways to use twine today. Before we get started PLEASE go show Lesley of Trendy Twine some loooove on FACEBOOK. She’s so sweet and you’ll love seeing all the DT members projects and peeks of new twine, etc. They also have a fun ‘BOO! Too Cute to Spook!’ challenge. You have GOT to see all the cute projects shared! So fun!

OK.. let’s get started with the projects! First up.. you guessed it.. ME!!!! *dances a little jig* <— Blame the wine for that. I see to have awesome dance moves when I have wine. Does that happen with you, too? I thought so.

I kept this project simple. I like squeezing ‘simple’ in here and there. It’s refreshing to know a project doesn’t HAVE to take you hours. I made both of these treat pillow boxes in 30 minutes or so. Which isn’t bad for someone who gets distracted by shiny things. And I have a lot of shiny things around me right now.. one of them being my forehead.. yeah. I need a shower. It’s been a LONG day (Writing this on Wednesday night… Zzzzzzzzz.. Where’s my bed?.. Oh that’s right. It’s being held down by 3 piles of laundry at the moment. Eh. Come fold my laundry! It smells pretty… and I promise to remove all undies for you…. You don’t wanna see those.. or.. do you? Creep. Move along now. This is Fa-BOO-Lous HALLOWEEN week.. not creepy undie peeker week.

That’s in December.

*clears throat*

Sooooo.. Anyhow, back to my simple pillow boxes. Stay on task, Tamara! *shakes fist*

Here they are in their twined up cuteness!

I trimmed some paper (Pebbles Tricks & Treats!.. Which I will be using for a guest designer spot with them VERY soon!) to fit around. Cut a spider web border from the Gimme Candy Boxes SVG kit for the bat box. The ghost and bat are cut from the Spooky Cuties SVG collection from SVG Cuts. I added some jewels, Trendy Twine, Flair from Paper Play Studio, and touches of washi tape! The stamps are from My Thoughts Exactly! (Use code MTELUVHLCW for 15% off your order for this Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween week!)

I added some vellum behind the ‘window’ to resemble the moon… but I kinda failed.. and it just looks like.. well… a window with vellum behind it. LOL! *hangs head*

Watch out for that GHOST!

And hey you! Don’t you forget about my Ghostess with the Mostess challenge! Link up a GHOSTY project.. or two for a chance at winning that prize! Only a few linked up right now so get on that… you know you wanna!!

Let’s continue! First up for my talented guest designers is Kerri! She’s a fun crafty friend and also sponsored a Simple Stories collection kit for one of the prizes! She created this cool witch pin! I just love it! Kerri said, “For this project I wanted to step outside of my crafty box and do a little something I don’t do often. I decided on a quick, simple jewelry project with a Halloween theme. This witch pin was created with just a few supplies and turned out so cute. Everyone is going to want to try this one! “

Find Kerri at her Craft Time and Cupcakes! blog.

Next is Sukie! I just LOVE what Sukie did with her mummy! This is totally fun and I know my kids would love to get a card like that! Sukie said, “This mummy card was created using the mummy cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge.  I simply wrapped Black Licorice Trendy Twine around the mummy and added some wiggly eyes.  The card was finished off with a tulle bow topped off with a Lime Licorice Trendy Twine bow.”

You can find Sukie’s fun blog HERE. Stop on by because she’s having a giveaway as well! More free stuff? Yes, please!

Dawn is next up! I just love her cute little hanging banner! Wrapping the Trendy Twine around the edge of the frame looks fabulous!…. Oh, waaaait.. Ahem. I meant Fa-BOO-Lous. She did a great job using the Lime and Orange Licorice colors!

You can find Dawn on her blog HERE! Stop by and say hello!

Now it’s the talented Jessica’s turn! I love Jessica’s work and am happy to have her here! So here’s another awesome project for some twine flingin’ inspiration.. She created this cool decor piece, an altered candle! CUTE! Jessica said, “My lame babble: I made a fun Frankenstein candle last year for Halloween and it was a big hit. So this year I decided to make something a little more cute! I stamped on some burlap using My Thoughts Exactly’s Fright Night Friends stamps and wrapped it around a candle. Then I tied a little Trendy Twine around the top of the burlap. I used lime licorice, grape licorice, and orange licorice Trendy Twine. I used the matching Fright Night Friends SVGs to cut out the ghost, bats, and moon. I wanted the Trendy Twine colors to pop so I left all the Fright Night Friends kraft color. My little ghost friend is on a wobble so he moves a little bit. And of course the bats are flying around the moon thanks to some twisted wire.”

So awesome! I love the pop of color with the twine! You can find Jessica on her blog HERE.. and she’s also on FACEBOOK! Stop by and give her a ‘like’ You’ll love her work!

Workin’ our way down this list of awesomeness.. we are now to Jamie! I just love what Jamie made as she used some SVG Cuts! This shoe is FABULOUS! So easy to put together! Here’s what Jamie had to say, “I made a Witch’s Shoe Treat Box from SVGcuts, decorated with Lime and Grape Licorice Trendy Twine and some Jaded Blossom Stamps.”

You can find Jamie’s lovely work in a few places! So get to stalkin’.. er. I mean following!

Hmm. Does this come in a size 7?

Can you believe we are to the last project already? You’ve been on this blog post for hours now. Hey, you there.. reading my blog. Nice pajama pants you got on there.. at 2:00 in the afternoon!!!!

I’m just messin’ I will be real with you all. I sit around in jammie, lounge, yoga pants allllll day unless I go somewhere. I HATE being tied up in jeans while at home. A girl needs to breathe! Seriously!

OK, folks.. here’s my last guest designer of the Fa-BOO-Lous week! Yup.. it will be just crazy me all alone tomorrow showing off some DIY decorations I’ve done… and hopefully by then you won’t be thinking about my undies anymore.

Meet Anita! I am so glad she joined me! She made a super unique project that I am sure you all will love! She created a Halloween egg decoration with TWINE.. and lots of it! Anita said, “I used a water balloon and blew it up and then ran through Trendy Twine through watered down Elmers Glue.  I then wrapped it all around the balloon and let it dry overnight.  I popped the balloon and then did my decorating.”

How creative is that? If you’d like to check out all of Anita’s other work, you can find her blogging HERE!

I do believe my carpel tunnel has flared up now. lol.

This was such a  fun filled post though! Thank you ALL who joined me as guest designers here!  Now to get on with the goods.. the REALLY good goods.. the GIVEAWAY!

SVG Cuts is rocking Day 3 of the Fa-BOO-Lous week!

Hey, hey! Welcome to day 3 of my Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween Inspiration week! Are you having fun? I sure am… Have you started on Halloween crafts? Have you been making Halloween stuff since.. oh.. I dunno.. JULY like I practically have been? lol. If so.. you’re my kind of people! New best friends? Me thinks so! We need special jackets!

I have been way too excited about this feature! SVG Cuts has been my paper crafty family pretty much from the second week I started this whole paper crafting thing! They were my very first design team..  I remember following their blog thinking, “If only I could craft like that…” I would enter their challenges hoping I would get on their DT… and here I am, two years later! On their wonderful DT, seeing Mary create her amazing kits every week.. salivating at Leo’s awesome photos and videos and being so proud to be on a DT full of these AMAZINGLY talented women. My friends… My crafty family *hearts fluttering*. Most of you know I flew out to Chicago this past summer and actually stayed with Mary and Leo (owners of SVG Cuts) at their beautiful home. They are some of the coolest people… hopefully they think I am pretty cool, too. Just don’t tell ‘em I tried to kidnap their cat. (LOL JK!)

While I was there I also got to meet the fabulous Thienly and Fleurette who are also on the DT! I had met Corri this past January at Winter CHA (and also saw her in Chicago!)  It really is the coolest thing to meet all these ‘internet friends’ in person.. Like.. “Oh, HI.. so you ARE real!” lol! I wish we could have all met up! What a party that would be!… Especially with me there.. hellllloo! LOL!

So, here I am.. showing some of the newest kits/collections from SVG Cuts with three fellow SVG Cuts designers. Amy, Corri, and Thienly. I am so happy they’ve joined me.. and really, really happy they made great projects! (Why wouldn’t they? lol They rock socks!) A special thank you to the three of them… and an even bigger thank you to Mary and Leo for dealing with my craziness and keeping me around! I can be a bit… odd.

Let’s get this going.. no more mushy crud. No mushy crud allowed during this spooky Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween week! Release the ghosts and zombies and let’s get started!

First up is ME!!! I decided to go a different route with SVG Cuts files and NOT do a paper craft. I was inspired by a fellow (and way too talented) SVG Cuts DT member, Brigit. She recently made some iron on decal bags.. LOVED them. So, I stole her idea and made my own version! When SVG Cuts released the Spooky Cuties collection I about died. I LOVE them. I don’t think I’ve stopped touching them since, LOL! I have a few projects in the works with these little cuties on them and just can’t wait to share!

My project.. TA-DA!!! A Trick or Treat bag! Don’t even try to pretend this is not adorable. It’s stinkin’ adorable!

I took a simple plain bag from State Line Bag Company, and turned it into this little masterpiece! A customized Trick or Treat bag! I added on some orange zig-zag stitching to the edges, a frayed ruffle trim with buttons and some Trendy Twine and then ironed on some decals I printed. The Spooky Cuties SVG Cuts collection actually comes with PRINTABLES! Yes, folks.. buy yourself some iron on decal paper (I used Avery brand) and you can easily make these too!

How cute are those cuties?

So, carrying on with the Spooky Cuties, and me trying to make awesome stuff.. is my next project! This is another fun one and non paper crafty. I always love to give ‘seasonal’ little gifts to my kids. Yes, they are slightly spoiled.. and I am just too fun, so this is what I do :) I got them all sorts of Halloween themed goodies, lots of craft supplies, jammies, books, shirts, etc. and I needed something to put it all in.. or.. umm.. some of it since I went overboard. I picked up this large bucket from the Dollar Tree (so only $1.00!) and I ordered some Silhouette double sided adhesive paper and decided to make my own glitter stickers to decorate it with. I chose the skeleton dude since he would be the easiest to make. I ran out of white glitter so I just used white vinyl for his ‘bones’. The black part is all glittered. I REALLY like how this came out. Super easy to make! Just cut like you would a paper pieced file, peel off the top layer, add glitter, then peel off the backing and adhere to the bucket! It’s really strong adhesive too! Here it is!

So, sooo fun! Here are a few close up shots… and a shot of the whole set up together!

(ignore my hot glue mess, lol)

And ‘the’ set up! Needless to say they were so excited!!! And of course it wouldn’t have been the same without that custom gift basket!

OK, OK.. enough about me! Let’s move on to these amazing guest designers.. My SVG Cuts friends!!! *back flip* Make sure you stop by their blogs.. they are each having their OWN giveaway! Keep reading to see what goodies they’re giving away.. plus see what I am giving away! It’s more ‘fall’ themed and not so Halloweenie. :) YAY!

First up is Amy. She’s such a sweetie.. so fun and so very talented with her collages and scrapbook pages! Amy blogs over at Aim it Up. Stop by and see more of her project, plus she is giving away a giftcard to Michaels craft store!!! So fun! She’s also on FACEBOOK.. stop by and give her a ‘like’.

Amy created this Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween weekly countdown. How creative is this??

Amy said, “I am so excited to be a guest designer for the Fa-Boo-Lous Halloween Inspiration Week! I am on the SVG Cuts DT and love Halloween. I thought it would be fun to create a Halloween Countdown. I started with today’s date 10.3 (4 weeks until Halloween!) and counted down the weeks. I also did a treat holder for the day before and Halloween Night. I started out with a shadowbox and removed the glass. I cut six boxes from SVG Cuts latest kit called Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Kit. I cut them on my Sizzix eclips using Ecal software. I also added some cuts from SVG Cuts Spooky Cuties SVG Collection. I designed the countdown dates in Adobe Illustrator and used the Epiphany Crafts Tool to create them. One stop at Joanns and I loaded it up with lots of goodies. You should of seen my boys when I showed them the countdown – their eyes lit up! “

Wow, right?! Head to her BLOG to see those detailed images and enter for a chance to win that $20 giftcard!

Up next is Corri from Bug Lover Cards! Corri knows how to keep it clean, simple, and classy! She’s the newest member to the SVG Cuts DT and we are excited to have her with us! Well, well.. what did Corri make to share with you all today? A fabulous card and ‘BOO’ gift box (perfect for the Fa-BOO-Lous week, wouldn’t you agree?!)

Corri said, “For my project, I used several files from SVG Cuts and paper and elements from October Afternoon’s Witch  Hazel collection. I used the adorable little ghost from the Spooky Cuties collection and stamped her face with some PKS face parts. “

Corri’s also having a fun giveaway on HER BLOG! Check it out! She’s got a Michaels craft store giftcard up for grabs! You should also swing by her Facebook page and say hello!

And last, but certainly not least.. Thienly from Mod Paperie! She also joined me over on the State Line Canvas Bag post (with  a giveaway, so check it out!). She’s awesome.. she knows it.. you know it. ’nuff said!

State Line Canvas bags… You know you want ‘em!

Who loves a good canvas bag? Who loves a good canvas bag filled with TREATS?.. Uh. ME! I just had to do a little feature with a small side giveaway this week showing you these cool canvas bags from State Line Bag co! They offer a variety of sizes.. which is great! We are women (and maybe a few men are here) and we like variety, right? State Line Bags has canvas bags ranging in sizes from 2.75″ x 4″ to 12″ x 16″.  These are perfect for gift giving! Think holiday Christmas gifts especially! If you have 14 and 1/2 thumbs like me, you probably hate wrapping odd shaped stuff. With these, you can easily stamp on a bag, add a tag, and throw it at the person it’s for. (OK.. throwing might be a bit mean.. but I am feelin’ feisty right now.. so ya’ll better run for cover.. I’m throwing canvas bags around! *whoosh* <—- That was a canvas bag full of chocolate being thrown by your head. I warned you!)

So, to show you the awesomeness of these bags I brought along my craftalicious friend, Thienly from Mod Paperie. (I have been meaning to tell her to call herself ‘Vintage’ Paperie instead.. I think it fits better… lol. Am I right? Of course I am.. And yes, you can hire me for blog naming services. You can pay me in coffee. Venti’s only)

So, let’s get started. Settle yourself down now. I am sure you’re squirming around in your seat because you are just DYING to see some canvas deliciousness.

Don’t those ruffles look adorable? Especially with that frayed edge and black zig-zag stitching! I cut off the drawstring, added black eyelets and some Trendy Twine (Who I will be featuring tomorrow with a GREAT giveaway and awesome guest designers!) to make my bag a little more unique! Then I stamped all over my bag with some fun My Thoughts Exactly stamps; ‘Fright Night Friends’, which you can possibly WIN (see details below). I stamped onto another canvas bag for the ghost, candy corn, and bat and then cut them out and adhered them onto my bag! Thought that was pretty fun looking.

Anyhow, here’s Thienly’s super cute version of the State Line canvas bags. I love her added touches of burlap behind the stamped pieces.

Thienly said, “I knew when I saw these canvas bags, I HAD to add some burlap to it.  These go together so well, and I’ve been loving the way it looks together.  Of course, I had to share my love for Unity Stamp Company – their stamps are perfect for projects like this. Instead of the string that come with the bag, I replaced it with black twine to add to the Halloween feel”

What a perfect little treat bag! Thank you so much, Thienly, for joining me today!  Thienly is also having a giveaway for some of these bags on HER blog! Head on over and leave her some love and enter for a chance to win some! She’s giving away 25 of them! You’ll be set! She’s also got a facebook page.. stop by and say hello! She’s got some serious talent! Seriously. Serrrrriously. (said in a faux drunken slur). You’ll want to stalk her… and smell her hair.

LOL! Gosh.. I am so weird. I was just ‘whining’ to Thienly about how long blog posts take and I am sooo tired.. well duh. They take so long because I ramble on about throwing canvas bags at people and being a creepy hair smelling stalker. Jeez. Someone needs a therapist.

Now for my fun little giveaway! Don’t forget I have SEVERAL giveaways happening right now so check the main blog page! There’s also a fun challenge which includes a prize.

Day 2 of the Fa-BOO-Lous Inspiration week!

Heeeey there! It’s day two of my Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween week and I’ve got some amazing projects to share today! Some of my fellow Carta Bella design team members joined me in showing off Carta Bella’s AMAZING All Hallows’ Eve collection! I just love, love, LOVE this collection and I’m so happy these wonderful designers joined me today!
Don’t forget to check out yesterday’s post along with the Ghostess with the Mostess design challenge! There’s a fun prize up for grabs along with a freebie SVG file from Designs on Cloud 9 if you decide to use it! There’s also a discount code from a wonderful sponsor, My Thoughts Exactly. Use code MTELUVHLCW for 15% off your stamp order! Yay!
Ok, let’s get this party started! You’re gonna just love these projects and I hope they get your wheels turning and get you inspired for some Halloween crafting. Come on now, GET EXCITED!!!
First up is yours truly! Ok.. Soooo… I kinda cheated here. This project was shared on the Carta Bella blog the other day. But hey, if you didn’t see it then just pretend I didn’t say that, lol! I created some spooktacular treat envelopes with the string tie envelope file from Lori Whitlock. I edited the file by adding on an oval shape to create a window so you can see the treats inside!

Carta Bella All Hallow's Eve Halloween treat bags -
On the back I used some brads and wire to close it. Thought this was a bit different than just string or twine. Add on some embellishments and you’re done!

See the bling? Those ‘crystals’? I added those with my Imaginisce irock tool. One of my favorite tools to add some ‘glam’ to Halloween projects.. And YOU could win one in todays prize! Keep on reading and then leave a comment to enter!
Now for my fabulous guest designers! Please visit each of their blogs and see just how amazing they are! I feel honored to be designing with them on the Carta Bella team!
First up is Jan. I’m also on the Sizzix DT with her, and just ADORE her work. She’s quite the designer, for sure! Check out the beautiful mask she made. Jaw dropping gorgeous! I want if for my own house! LOL.. No really. Jan, you know you want to send it to me! I can trade you a kid!

Jan said, “I purchased a paper mache mask from Michael’s and covered it with All Hallow’s Eve.  Made some flowers, (all Sizzix of course!) paper branches, added a few spiders, feathers, bling and a stick.” Please take a moment to stop by Jan’s blog and say hello! PLUS she’s also giving away a Carta Bella kit (Alphabet Junction)!

Is that anything other than amazing?.. really! *swoon*

Next up is the always fabulous Patricia! Everything she makes is amazing! (To only have that touch, right?!) She created this super fun coffin box using a cutting file designed by Lori Whitlock. I just LOVE the spooky surprise once you open the coffin!

Patricia says, “This little coffin design by Lori Whitlock from the Silhouette Studio store was too irresistible to pass up.  I removed the cross from the front of the coffin only because I wanted to decorate the front with the die cut spider web, stickers, tag, and twine.  I was going for the “don’t open this” kind of feel to it.  For the inside, I put baby powder on the back of the skeleton sticker, and attached him to a curled up piece of wire, so he kind of “floats.”  I have this along with the tree and skeleton votives on my mantle…Carta Bella All Hallow’s Eve is perfect for adding Halloween decor to your home.”

Please stop by Patricia’s blog, leave some love and you’ve got to browse around and see more of her work! You’ll be glad you did!

So cool! Open it up and what do you find?..

Love that Carta Bella skeleton sticker! Totally fun, right?..

Moving on to ANOTHER super amazing designer, Pam. I mean really.. how am I even on the same DT as these ladies?

Pam said, “A lot of Halloween collections have purple and green in them, which wouldn’t match my photo, so when I saw the neutral color palette of All Hallow’s Eve, I knew it would be perfect for this photo of my little guy from last Halloween. I added the chipboard banner which featured words such as creepy, spooky, etc. but I felt like there was too much text on the page, so I covered up the words with little strips of patterned paper and stitched down the middle of them!”  If you could take the time to stop by Pam’s blog and say hello and check out the rest fo her work, that would be awesome!

Pam has created a DARLING layout! And the title is perfect, “So cute, it’s scary!”.. How adorable is this picture?

I mean, wouldn’t YOU give that cute puppy extra candy? Ooof course! (Hey, that’s a great idea! Cute kids in super cute costumes = more candy.. and what does that mean? More chances of getting chocolate for mom to steal.. right? Riiiight?..)

So, I’ve shown you treats, decor, a layout.. time for a CARD!

This card was made by.. yet again.. another Fa-BOO-Lous designer from the Carta Bella team! Man, we are workin’ the All Hallow’s Eve over here, aren’t we? This totally cool card featuring my favorite skeleton sticker was designed by Jen! Say hello to Jen and visit her blog. You better believe she’s got some amazing projects there!

Jen said, “Carta Bella collections make it super easy to create the perfect holiday card! Everything coordinates so seamlessly together. I started this card by stitching down some strips of patterned paper, then added a ribbon. A few chipboard embellishments, stickers and a brad and voila! A perfectly spooky Halloween card with the All Hallow’s Eve line.”

Who wouldn’t love to receive that card?

Last, but certainly not least, is the sweet and talented Natasja! She’s super talented and she has created this awesome altered embroidery hoop (A project on my ‘to-do’ list!). How creative is this? She didn’t skip a beat and it’s full of little details! Love the pop of green here. Be sure to head on over to HER BLOG, she’s having a little giveaway as well! WHOO HOO!!

Natasja said, “I created this piece using a vintage embroidery ring as a base filled with a piece of patterned paper. I used some green fabric which gives a lot of dimension while layering all the fun stickers and cardstock stickers that come with the All Hallow’s Eve line. Hang a piece like this in your hall and it will be a fun welcome during Halloween….or it can be a fun little gift!”

How BOO-tiful!

Thank you ladies for joining me! I REALLY appreciate it!

Bright and fun.. like this haunted Manor collection.. and also the vintage look, glam, modern, etc. It’s all soo fun! Plop a pumpkin or ghost on it and I am sold!

Here’s my project! I took a tray from a little wood planter box set and made the base of it into a hanging ‘frame’. It was pretty easy to make and I am quite pleased with how it came out! It matches my dining room perfectly! (I posted pics of it HERE yesterday, take a look! I LOVE all that glitter!)

THAT right there is cuteness times a billion!

Yes, I like patting myself on the back. lol.

(The tombstone is from an older collection, but I just had to add it in!)

Alyssa says: “For the Ghostess with the Mostess challenge I decided to create a sparkly ghosty shaker card. To create the shaker window I used the My Thoughts Exactly Fright Night Friends SVGs and I stamped the window using the ghost from the MTE Fright Night Friends stamp set. Of course I couldn’t resist adding googly eyes! I filled my shaker window with pearly white glitter. To finish it off I embellished the card with the Happy Halloween sentiment and candy corn stamps, Orange Licorice and Grape Licorice Trendy Twine, and an adorable chevron piece of flair from Paper Play Studio!”

She’s been a fabulous sponsor this week and we of course want to spread the love!

For my part, I have a simple non-paper crafty project to share! A spooooky cheese cloth ghost! My kids LOVE these! I have them hanging around our livingroom and when the ceiling fan is on they move around and look like they are ‘floating’.

Here’s a short ‘step by step’ on how to make one:

  • SUPPLIES: Cheesecloth, ‘eyes’, styrofoam balls, and thread or fishing line.
  • Step 1: Fold cheese cloth in half and cut a half circle on the fold.
  • Step 2: Rip/cut edges of cheesecloth to shred it up a bit. Open the cheese cloth circle and lay flat and place a styrofoam ball in the center.
  • Step 3: Thread some fishing line or thread through a needle and poke it through the center of the ball from the bottom so the thread comes up through the top for hanging. Tie a knot so it doesn’t slip out.
  • Step 4: Fold the cheese cloth over to cover the ball to create the ‘ghost’ and add some eyes! That’s it! A great project for kids to do. :)

Alrighty, on to the PRIZE!

For each NEW ghost themed project you link up, you will be entered for a chance to win:

  • American Crafts adhesive chalkboard labels
  • Ten clear test tubes (Perfect for Nerds candies or gummy worms!)
  • Four 5×7 kraft paper bags. So fun to alter and stamp on!
  • A pack of syrofoam balls to make your own ghosts!
  • My Thoughts Exactly sentiment stamps (Ghostly Greetings)
  • Green glittered chipboard alpha stickers by K&Co.
  • Two washi tape rolls
  • 12×12 Echo Park paper collection kit of Chillingsworth Manor
  • $20 gift certificate to Designs on Cloud 9

WOW! I can not wait to see all your projects! Link up all the way through Sunday 10/7 to qualify!

Don’t forget to come back DAILY to see new projects, enter new give aways and have fun! Thanks for joining me for my Fa-BOO-Lous Halloween week! See ya tomorrow!
