Yes, MONSTER SPRAY! Magical potion for any child scared of monsters.. to mom and dad, it’s just water with a drop of food coloring, LOL!

Now, I don’t have a kiddos scared of ‘monsters’.. around here they ARE the monsters! And I may, or may not have ran through the house spraying them… Anyhow, my kiddos are more scared of bears, lol. However, I’ve seen these ‘monster sprays’ being sold on Etsy and thought it would be fun to make one with my new ‘Bump in the Night’ Cricut Cartridge! It’s a totally CUTE cartridge.. love those monsters! Plus I was able to play with my new Expression 2 a bit! (and yes, it cuts circles.. real ones! And yes! The cut quality has improved from my regular Expression!)

The entire box is made with a good ol’ paper trimmer and score board! At the bottom of this post it will give a little tutorial on how to make the box like I did. But first, you have to look at the cruddy pictures.. I have taken pictures of this project TREE times! (or THREE… for those of you who do not talk like my 3 year old) I just can not get any photos that I love. The lighting is making me grumpy.. then I start mumbling mean things to my project and camera and cursing the clouds and haze outside! LOL! These will have to do, folks.. sadly, I don’t think these pictures show the true cuteness of this poject. The colors and everything are just so fun and cheerful! So, with that said.. I am breaking down and buying some tabletop lighting so I don’t have to fight with the dark winter ahead!

So, here’s the pictures! ooooh.. ahhhhh…..

Photobucket

Photobucket

  • I used a white gel pen to accent the letters. One of the ladies on my SVG Cuts design team, Cheryl, does this.. and I love the look!

Photobucket

  • The monster eyes has an epoxy over them! (Epiphany Crafts!) There are also star epoxy shapes.. LOVE my shape tools, dag-nabbit! I can’t say it enough! *swoon*

Photobucket

  • I attached some fun twine from The Twinery to tie around the box.

Photobucket

  • How cute is that little guy?! He is about 1.5″ tall.. see how nice he cut?

Photobucket

Photobucket

  • Open it up and TA-DA!!! Yes, the box is already showing signs of being destroyed by my children.. Can a mama just have a cute paper craft to keep to herself? I swear, they think I am their personal paper crafter or something! :)

Photobucket

  • I scored paper at 1/4″ and accordian folded it and made curtains! :)

Photobucket

Photobucket

You likey?! Just a few sprays and the monsters stay away! I wanted to do more with this, but I have projects to get done for Echo Park this week, and I am already slackin’!

After making this there is a few things I would have switched up, but all in all I love it! (Just wish these pictures looked better.. grrrr!!)….. And yes, that was totally a monster growl. Scray stuff, right? I’ve been practicing!

If you wanna give this a try, here is a little picture tutorial for it. I hope it makes sense. I re-made the box to make sure I had it right and took the picture JUST for you all! Yes, it’s true love… Only for YOU!

  • Step 1 – Bring me a coffee. Please… PRETTY please.. *bats eyelashes* Ahem.. Starbucks white chocolate mocha would be nice.. along with a magic potion that makes it calorie free!
  • Step 2 – Trim a piece of paper to 9.25″ wide and 6″ high. This will be the ‘door’. Score as shown.. and ONLY as shown, or else! lol… Fold on score lines. The side that is 3.75″ wide will be the front.

Photobucket

  • Step 3 – Trim TWO pieces of paper to 10″ wide and 4.50″ high. Score as shown. You will score one side and then rotate and score some more. Cut on the dotted line and remove the pieces with the cross lines through them.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

  • I am still waiting for that coffee… just sayin’.
  • Step 5 – Fold in half like so.. and fold the ‘lip’ up!

Photobucket

  • Step 6 – Pick up sticks.
  • … 7, 8 – Lay ‘em straight..
  • … 9, 10 – Do it AGAIN!

Oh, sorry..

  • Step 6 – Adhere the .50″ ‘tabs’ betwen the folded layers as shown. Do this with both pieces to make a box.

Photobucket

  • Step 7 – Adhere to the ‘door’ part of the box. make sure it’s adhered to the 3.50″ side and NOT the 3.75″ side. I also adhered the side of the ‘door’ to the box shape with my original one.. But I would leave it like this so it can open better after you add the door cartridge cut! (FYI: The door from the cartridge was cut at 7.00 high just to help you guesstimate sizing!)

Photobucket

  • Step 8 – Trim a piece of paper to 3.50″ wide and 5.25″ high. Trace your 1.50″ diameter spray bottle in the center and remove with a craft knife to create a hole. (You may want to add a small piece of adhesive tape to the bottom of the bottom to help hold it in place it the hole is a bit too wide) Then, score and fold as shown:

Photobucket

  • Then adhere the spray bottle holder into the box! That’s it! Now get to decorating! :)

Photobucket

As for the bottles. Mine are about 1.50″ diameter and about 4″ tall. They are little 4oz bottles. You can get them at the dollar tree or .99 stores!.. Walmart, etc. Create a ‘label’ to wrap arund it. It would be cut to add an ‘instructions’ tag!

Photobucket

I hope I’ve inspired you all to give it a try! It really is SUPER cute! You can make it spooky, or cutesy like I did! Let me know what you think! Ya know I luuuv those comments!

And to prove my love for all my readers who were waiting for this post, while I was typing it up, I got two lovely boxes from TWO PEAS! Annnd… I didn’t even open them! No, sir.. Didn’t even pull back the tape! Trust me, it was hard… there is some major cuteness in those boxes! (and don’t go tryin’ to send me bombs.. that is not MY address… that is my local USPS place.. )
Photobucket

OK.. off to tear ‘em open and fondle my new goodies! Shall i do a share post soon?… Hmmm?

ENJOY! Please ask any questions in a reply to this post and I will reply to ya with an answer! Also, make sure you check my blog posts for the GLUE ARTS Glue Glider PRO giveaway! Whoot!

Toodles!

Oh, Silhouette.. how I love thee… (Bonus: Random Cricut project!)

I got a chance to play around with my Silhouette today! I did another fun and simple print and cut project! I am just LOVING this feature! I made this card in less than 30 minutes after everything was cut out! *high five*

Photobucket

I am going to do a basic print and cut tutorial soon for anyone interested. It’s a little different than my last tutorial. I know there are plenty out there.. but there isn’t one from ME.. lol!

Well, I don’t have much time to chit chat right now… Awww, don’t be sad.. You will be exposed to more of my randomness soon enough!  I am working on a FUN project for the Summer SVG Shindig blog hop AND getting a cute project done for this coming Monday over at Paper Dolls!

So.. on to the card! This is a basic 5×7″ card base.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Cuteness?.. Yup! This was SO simple, but the printed graphics add so much to the look of the card.

If you want to make one, you’re in luck! Because I’m nice enough to tell ya how to do it!….. No, please.. no need to thank me!

You will want to snag THIS set from JazzyPatterns on Etsy! *If it’s sold out, just go to her shop and look for it. It’s called ‘Fun at the Beach’*

In the Silhouette Studio I sized them to the following sizes:

  • Fish – 1.930w
  • Sun – 2.500w
  • Umbrella – 3.000w
  • Starfish – 1.300w

The card is a 5×7 with the printable paper trimmed and layered over it. The ‘wave’ trim was print and cut as sized, however, it will hang off of the mat. This is fine, just go ahead and print and cut. :)

That’s it! I added some stitching and inking and used foam squares to give some depth.

If you are unsure how to print and cut, stay tuned!

Now, time for the bonus random Cricut project! I am still buying cartridges, even though most people who read my blog are kinda anti ‘bug’ now since the lawsuits. I personally don’t give a crud, and I like all those cute cartridges! When cricutmachine.com had their recent sale, I picked up a couple new cartridges, one being the Disney Toy Story one! So cute! My son is SO into Buzz Lightyear! And although he has tons of Buzz toys all over the place, I knew he would love this one that mama made! When he woke up from his nap he was so excited to see this guy on my desk!

Photobucket

I mean, he IS pretty exciting! And a total pain in the butt! (like any man, really..) LOL! I cut everything out, and kinda stared at it for a bit. It took about an hour to assemble. Well worth it.. until he had it in his hands for 10 minutes.. he pulled the wings off. *thud* SERIOUSLY, CHILD!!! I took Buzz away to fix him and asked Austin (my son) if he can live in Mommy’s craft area.. he said, “OK.. but where is him’s bed?!”

Have a great weekend, friends!

“Tamara, seriously.. Create a Critter AGAIN?!”

Yup.. again.

I big pink fluffy heart LOVE them dern critters!

I had some styrofoam balls laying around and decided to do something with them. I decided to make a cute little tree for no reason at all, just for fun!

Photobucket

After I made it, I thought.. wow, that looks weird, LOL! It needs a branch or something…. and it’s pretty heavy for a ‘paper’ project because of the styrofoam and hot glue all over it. My son thinks it’s a bat! he whacked himself in the head with it! LOL!

Photobucket

The tree needed something… anything, really. It was kinda lame by itself.. I mean, it would look CUTE in my daughter’s owl themed room! Too bad the color’s don’t match. I decided to pull out the good ol’ Create a Citter and make some animals treat bags like my Springtime Buddies that I made awhile ago. I do love those little bags! I decided to go with a fall theme (Hello…..! Can we get through spring and summer first!?) I know, fall, really?… But look how cute!

Photobucket

The little fox makes me smile.. so cute!

This would be great for birthday party favors! Well, if a tree and animals fit your theme! Jungle theme? Fun stuff!

And now for more pictures.. what? Did you think you could get away with only a few photos from me? Ha! You sooo cra-zay!

Photobucket

You might have noticed that not all my critters are ‘decapitated’.. sometimes it just won’t work out for that particular die cut, so you can just adhere the bottom half of your critter to the bag.. OR, you can glue it to the back of the bag instead. For this project, only my raccoon worked.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Umm….. Yes, I have issues.. and my son asked me for a dinosaur! So.. Mr. Dino joined the Fall Friends party!

Photobucket

“Awwww.. that’s cute”…

Sure it is…. Photobucket

I know.. I know.. I couldn’t help it. That’s my dark side coming out… and it made my kids laugh!

Create a Critter, Straight From The Nest, and Forever Young cartridges and this file created by moi! Download 1springtime_buddies_bag_HappyLifeCraftyWife This is an SVG file. Open it and just cut away! to make this to my sizing, set this to cut at 9.630 WIDE. Make sure ‘Keep Proportions’ is checked. (If you have problems downloading it, email me with my contact link over there to the right… and I will send you the file!) Typepad download is wonky sometimes!

*** If you use my SCAL file and share anything you made with my file PLEASE link back to my blog. Do not post the file on your website/blog.. simply link back to this post. Thank ya! ***

For the tree.. get a 3″ strofoam ball and a hot glue gun! The leaves are all cut from SFTN from ‘branch 1′ cut at 2 3/4″. Cut a bunch.. I think I cut them 35 times? Glue them all over your ball, and burn your fingers while doing it.. I did it several times!

After that cut flowers from the shadow of ‘flower 5′ on FY. I cut 3 for each flower sized at 1 1/4″, 1″ and 3/4″. Layer them and fold the petals up. I made 6 of them for my tree.

The base of the tree is a rectangle rolled up and glued to the bottom. I did this before I added the leaves.

Photobucket

That’s it for the tree! Please see THIS POST on how to make the bags with animals!

Here are the sizes for the animals I used:

Fox – 3 1/2″

Owl – 3 1/2″

Squirrel – 3 3/4″

‘coon – 4″

Dinosaur – 10″

What? You don’t want to add the dinosaur? Psssh! You’re no fun! *wink*

Happy crafting!! You all might be seeing some changes to the blog soon.. I’m ready for some fun summer colors! Yay!

Toodles!

Summer Fun! 27 inches of paper cuteness!

Photobucket

It’s funny how a little idea… scribbled down on a scrap piece of paper while you’re waiting for dinner to cook… turns into something totally awesome!

About a week ago I thought of a cute little table decoration to make since my LAST ONE was such a huge hit! I figured something with pinwheels, maybe some flowers and animals..

Photobucket

……. And of course it had to be bigger than my last one! I mean, I have to keep you all excited, right? Plus, I love a challenge! I decided to skip using animals and think of some other little things that reminded me of summer. I started with one little section and that had another section added on.. and so on.. and then I ended up with this…..

Photobucket

Bright… cheery.. FUN! It came out sooo cute and I feel like my pictures do not truly show it’s greatness! Did I mention it’s about 14″ tall and 27″ long?

Here are some close ups for ya!

Photobucket

OK… seriously.. How is that NOT awesome!? Maybe it’s a bit much for some people, but it makes me smile and look forward to summer! Tire swings, beautiful days, watermelon.. Mmmmmm!

I didn’t plan on finishing it so soon, but I decided to enter it in the Fantabulous Cricut Blog Challenge!  The challenge is to make something that features your favorite season.. Now, I won’t say summer is my favorite.. but since I was already making this project I figured I could pretend it’s my favorite for a week, LOL!

*fingers crossed* I would love to win!

Would you like to tackle something like this? I will tell you sizes and describe it the best I can.. and you can wing it from there. I mentioned on my FACEBOOK PAGE that I bought a Flip camcorder! Hopefully that will make it easier for everyone! I can make step by step videos of my projects! YAY!

Alrighty.. let’s get Cricut-ing!

Paper Used – A mix of Echo Park Little Girl and Sweet Summertime! Both are such pretty collections! I used a mix of DCWV and AC solids. The tree’s green dot paper is Echo Park’s Little Boy.

Carts Used – Create a Critter, Simply Charmed, Paper Dolls, Straight From The Nest

SVG’s Used – Pinwheel was a free file I found somewhere. I don’t remember where exactly but I saw a few from searching the web!

I used SVGCUTS.COM collections – Beach Bum collection3 and the balloon shape from CRUSH ON YOU BOXES

Misc. items – Twine from THE TWINERY , buttons, dowel rods, hot glue, toothpicks and popsicle sticks. Also some styrofoam.. I get mine at the dollar store!

My styrofoam pieces were 4×4″ squares. I cut about 1/4th of it off. Do this to two squares. The two taller pieces go on the sides. The smaller ones go in the middle. The side piece with the tree is cut at 2×4″. Hot glue the strofoam all together to create your base.

Cuts several pieces of grass. I cut five at 4 3/4 (SFTN cart) Cut to fit around edges. I also added some here and there to fill in the middle.

My pinwheel is cut at 5″.

I took some square SVG’s and welded half circle to it to make scalloped edges. This was done in SCAL. Cut them 4×4.5″. These are the taller styrofoam pieces ‘box’ You will need 3 sides for each.

The hot air balloon was played with a bit. I broke it apart in SCAL and removed the shapes. I cut two of them and layered to make it different colors. The banner and flowers are in your SCAL library. Flowers cut at .75″ and the banner is 4″ wide. The balloon is from SVG Cuts and cut at 3.535 wide.

The dowel rods holding up the pinwheel and balloon have twine wrapped around them.

The tree will have a popsicle stick on the back for support. Cut the tree from SFTN cart. This is cut at 7″. The branch will be cut at 2 1/4. I used a toothpick behind it for support. Glue it to the tree.

The sun is held up by 20g jewelry wire. I twisted it around a pencil to create a spiral. The sun is created with a SCAL rectangle sized to 11x 1 1/4″. Score/fold at .5″, cut two. Smash it flat to create the crinkled circle shape. Center is a SCAL shape cut at 2″.

The pennants are two SCAL shape rectangles welded together. Fold them over the wine and glue. I used the Sweet Summertime stickers.

OTHER RANDOM CUTS -

Fence – Paper Doll cart – 2 1/2 – cut in half.

Wagon – CAC cart – 1 1/4″

Tulip – CAC cart – 3 1/2″ – Use a toothpick glued to the back for support.

Bucket and shovel – SVG Cuts beach bum file – Cut at 1 1/2″ high

Tire swing – CAC cart (wagon tires) – press ‘real dial size’ on your Cricut and cut at 1 3/4″ – You will use both of these with a piece of 3d sticky foam of glue dot bwtween for a 3d look. Tie it to twine.

Cloud by the tree – SCAL shape – 3″w

Ball – Simply Charmed cart – 1 1/2″

Watermelon – Simply Charmed – 3/4″

Emboss for texture and add 3d glue dots/foam for depth. Chalk/ink edges. And the most important thing to remember…. hot glue is your friend! LOL!

That’s it! I really wish I would have taken photos as I put it together.. I’m sorry, but I do hope this inspires some of you to create a cute table decoration! Enjoy and as always, thanks for coming by!

Springtime buddies.

Yes, I know I literally posted a few hours ago saying how busy I was.. but, when I get an idea in my head I have to try it right away! So.. lucky you, here is another tutorial.

I got my inspiration for these from some SVG files I saw. I decided to whip up my own little bag and use my cute critters from the always awesome Create A Critter cartridge and this was the result –

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Don’t they make you smile? I mean.. who doesn’t love decapitated critters? Ha!

Wanna make some? Do you have it in you to chop these poor critters heads off all just to make a cute bag?..

Well, if ya do.. then let’s cook up some springtime buddies!

Here’s whatcha need:

Create a Critter cartridge and this file created by moi! Download 1springtime_buddies_bag_HappyLifeCraftyWife This is an SVG file. Open it and just cut away! to make this to my sizing set this to cut at 5.820 HIGH. Make sure ‘Keep Proportions’ is checked.

*** If you use my SCAL file and share anything you made with my file PLEASE link back to my blog. Do not post the file on your website/blog.. simply link back to this post. Thank ya! ***

You will need to score it as shown:

Photobucket

Photobucket

If you don’t have a paper scorer you can just fold it.. but, these are only like $8.00 – $10.00 and make life grand! No more uneven fold lines!

Glue it shut and set aside. Time to make some critters!

Make your frog 4″ high and your chick 4 1/2″ high. The grass is 2″ high. (There are several animals you can use for this!)

Glue ‘em all together and then cut their heads off!

Photobucket

The chicks eyes look weird because I added Glossy Accents and it wasn’t dry yet. Ah.. who am I kidding? The poor chick is crying! I mean, wouldn’t you if your head was just chopped off?

OK, enough talking about decapitated animals.. before you all think I have issues.

What? No I didn’t just twitch.. gah! *twitch*

OK.. moving on…

Glue the body on the bag like so:

Photobucket

Add a little sticky foam square to keep it shut. Glue the head onto the top flap.

Photobucket

That’s it, folks!

Have fun with it! Wouldn’t these be adorable for the kiddos on Easter?

Toodles!

Ch-ch- ch-chain of heeeeearts…. ooooh..ooooh.

*I was singing to myself as I wrote my title*

Sooooo… want to make a super cute and easy Valentine’s Day decoration? (I am pretty sure I’ve mentioned in my blog a time or two that I am sick of Valentine’s Day crafts.. but.. I lied.) This is something the kiddos will totally enjoy making.. I think so anyways, lol. My girls are at school and Austin would just eat the tape, glue, and paper and then manage chop a finger off somehow… so…yeah. I had fun making this!

And the best part? Ya don’t even need a Cricut! (But, you should get one.. because it’s awesome!) You can just cut out 9″ long strips at 1/2″ wide and there ya go.

But… for my Cricut peeps that have SCAL (or something of the sort) you can get this done a lot faster! And since I should be working on my eBay auctions instead of playing with paper, I was all about getting done fast! (I eBay my kiddos small clothes twice a year.. it’s a total pain and takes forever but I like the cash when it’s all said and done).

This is how you do this in SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) Not sure if there is a way you can do this in Design Studio or not?.. Anyhoot..

Open SCAL and open a 12×12 mat. (or 6×12 if you have a smaller Cricut) and go to your shapes window (Window>Shapes) and select the rectangle. In properties uncheck ‘Keep Proportions’ and enter 9.000 wide and .500 high. Fill up your mat with as many as you can (copy paste) and then you are ready to cut!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Cut as many colors as you’d like..

Man.. I really wish I had a Starbucks coffee right now.. random, I know.. but yikes I got a craving!.

OK, now fold your strips in half.. like so.

Photobucket

(this is where I would like two extra hands to take pictures to show you all… but, I don’t.. ) You need to fold the two ends in to form a heart shape. Use glue if you want.. but it slows ya down having to hold them to dry.. or, you can whip out your hair clips like I do..

Photobucket

But, even that gets irritating. Get yourself some double sided tape. Works wonders and holds it really well! :) Then get busy making your chain! If you’re like me you will forget to attach a heart or two.. or 7 *ahem* to your chain before you tape it. Then you will grumble to yourself how dumb you are and then think you can take it apart to save your paper heart.. and nope.. it rips.. then you remind yourself how dumb you are.. again.

Not saying that happened or anything.. *whistles*

TA-DA!!!! Are you impressed? Yes, I know you are!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Cute.. easy… If you have your kiddos make it then it will keep them outta your hair for a good 10-15 minutes (score!) Have fun with it!

‘Tweet’ Surprise Door Hanger!

*drumroll please*

“PREEESENTING….. TAMARA’S VERY FIRST PROJECT MADE WITH HER NEW GYPSY!”

I did it, folks! I made something on my Gypsy! I can safely say I love this thing!

I have a weird obsession with door hanger treat boxes.. and so do my kids! They love finding little things on their doors after school! You can add a giftcard, candy, little toys (silly bands!), etc.

I used the Gypsy to weld the house from Create a Critter with a rectangle shape to create this. I used Wonder Tape to hold the box from Tags, bags, boxes and more to it. Check out the photos and details!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Cartridges used – Create a Critter, From My Kitchen (Used this for the rectangle but you can use any rectangle shape) and tags, bags, boxes and more!

Cut sizes:

Grass – 1 1/2 cut 2

Mushroom – 2 1/4

Branch – 2 1/4

Flower from the word “Hoot” – 2 1/2 cut 2

Bird – 2″

Stump – 1″

‘Smile’ – 1″

Gypsy Info – Weld the house from Create a Critter with a rectangle (I used one from ‘From My Kitchen’). My house is sized at 5.50 high. The total length with the rectangle welded will be 10.5″. Add a circle that is about 2.25″ wide for a doorknob. The box is sized at 5.59 high. I cut off the handles ;)  If I can, I am going to attach a Gypsy file for download later. I will TRY..

TIP – Cut two houses and glue them together if you are putting something heavy in the box.

Ta-Ta!

4 cartridges….. One super cute little table decoration!

…….. Now, before I show you pictures of my newest project I have to say hello to ALL my new followers and Facebook friends! I logged into my email to a bunch of blog comments, new followers and my Facebook ‘likes’ grew overnight. I was wondering what the heck happened. So, I logged into my blog to see nearly 4000 hits *thud*……

“I’m under attack!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!”

LOL!

One of my commenters said she found me from the Cricut newsletter.. say what?! After doing some poking around, there I was! In the ‘Cricut Chirp’ with MY photo shown with a link to one of my message board posts (I shared my valentine boxes) I couldn’t believe it! Little ol’ me.. CHECK IT OUT!

Tee-hee… I’m a soupa-star, baby! lol j/k….

Anyhow… want to see my super-dooper cute spring table decoration?! Yes, I know.. spring? What the hey?! Aren’t we in the midde of winter? Why yes, yes we are. BUT, I was getting tired of Valentine’s projects.. Well, that was until SVG Cuts released THIS collection.. (Cute, right?! Of course! I mean, how can you look at that and not want to make all 3 of them?) But yeah.. where was I going with this?… Um.

Ah yes, I was tired of Valentine’s projects so I decided to do something springy and cute with some of my favorite paper from Echo Park.

Carts Used – Forever Young (FY) : Create a Critter (CaC) : Straight From The Nest (SFTN) :Tags, bags, boxes and more (TBB&M).

Paper used – Echo Park (LOVE!) Collection : Walk in the Park.

Items Needed – 3d glue dots, chalk or ink, a popsicle stick, styrofoam squares, toothpicks, 20 gauge jewelry wire (I used blue), hot glue, buttons, paper thread (found in the jewelry making section at Joanns)

Here are the cuts I used. I hope I got them all..

Box – (TBB&M) : 5 3/4″ I like to seal my boxes with Wonder Tape.

Grass (SFTN) : 2 3/4″ (Cut 8. You will cut them to fit around the styrofoam and inside a bit for more of a 3D look) Chalk/Ink the edges in a darker green.

Flower (FY) 3″ and cut circles at 1 1/4″ x5 These will be curled and make into petals. It helps to hot glue them.

Photobucket

The yellow circle will be cut at 1″. Attach a button.

Snail (CaC) : 1 1/4″

Caterpillar (CaC) : 1 3/4″

Hive (CaC) : 2 1/4″

Butterfly (CaC) : 1 3/4″

Frog (CaC) : 2″

Dragonfly (CaC) : 1 1/4″

Bird House (CaC) : – 2 1/2″

Sun (CaC) : 2 1/2″

Kite (CaC) : 3.5 or 4″ I didn’t write it down and I forgot.

Cloud (CaC) : (forgot size) and the text on the cloud was cut in SCAL.

Stem/leaves of the flower : Use a popsicle stick and hot glue paper to it. I cut my leaves in SCAL but you can just free hand cut 2 ovals.

When sticking your items into the styrofoam I used toothpicks (green to match the grass better) and a bit of hot glue so they stay put!

Make your box first and then attach the styrofoam with hot glue. Use two 2×4″ squares and cut them in half. You will also need to trim the side down a little.

I hope you love this little project as much as I do! Please share my blog with your crafty friends and of course, join my Facebook page!! PRETTY PLEASE?

Thanks for coming by!

Toodles!

Simply cute Valentine’s goodie box!

I swear.. with all the goodie boxes I make you would think all I do is pass out candy and whatnot, lol. No, I don’t.. I just really enjoy making them!

This one is simple and quick to make with a mix of a cartridge and a couple SVG files.

Cricut cartridge Simply Charmed (I cut the legs off the ladybug) : SVG Cuts Favor boxes : SVG Cuts Rosie’s Ribbons : Swiss dot embossing folder : Hearts embossing folder : Paper of your choice

Use a Cuttlebug for embossing! Fill up with some candy (or even a cupcake would fit in here!) and give it to your love bug! :)
